What is causing you to lose sleep?

Tossing, turning.....getting around 2-3 hrs rest at a time.

Sick?

Heartache?

Decision?

Insomniac?

Do tell.:)

Today?

Its stormy out ... this makes me restless ... I want to go outside and stand in it. But I am sick...so here I sit.

I think I am becoming a bit of a Insomniac ... I lay in bed for hours thinking about things...keeping myself up even longer.

Try working night work for a year and a half and then suddenly trying to switch to days.

My step father worked nights for a good fifteen long years... I still don't understand how he did it.

Clinical insomnia, among other things. Mainly, I've gotten so used to sleeping only short periods of time to avoid my dreams, that it seems natural. I rarely get over 3 hours, and if I do, it's generally induced by powerful sleep meds from my doc.

Insomnia

Being awoken when I do sleep by a great idea for a story or poem.

If I write before I sleep I can find it hard to switch off.

How is school going? I haven't had much chance to ask you how things are doing in your life.:)

“I have learned already never to empty the well of my writing, but always to stop when there was still something there in the deep part of the well, and let it refill at night from the springs that it fed...”

I love that...yet another line scribbled in my journal not of my own...

PAIN!

Here it is 4:44AM. I went to bed around midnight. For the last four or five years pain has kept me from getting a full night's sleep. It wakes me up, and once I am awake, I stay awake, go take my pills.

Once both hips heal I am hoping that this will be a thing of the past. Otherwise, why bother with the surgery?

So if I sound a little fuzzy around the edges today in my posts, consider it a result of a lack of sleep and heavy medication. Sounds like the 70s all over again :) .

Thanks Cassidy.
Schools been going well, and I've been straightening out my life slowly but surely. I haven't been on alot since I've been writing more lately.
Hope you're doing well, and that life brings you all the blessings you deserve, for you are a kind and wonderful soul.

I know you have been having a tough time of it getting over these surgeries and illnesses. I had very minor surgery a month ago and am just now totally pain free, although I have been off meds for three weeks. It is just that your total comfort zone is violated and you can't rest as well.

Thanks Juicy. :)

Debbie, you cute little kid you. Beautiful AV. But then you a beautiful person so it would just make sense right?

At times, all of the above. Lately it's been "decisions" (or more like "indecision"!). I'm the happiest I've ever been, yet I'm muddled in debt and insecurity in other areas. By the end of the week, I'm really restless (especially if nothing substantial developed during the week).

Funny how I was able to sleep like a contented baby the week my love was visiting! Trying to hold onto that feeling until we can possibly get together again!:rose:

Thank you for the compliment. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :)

Stress and being sick.

I hate the school year. I got another virus that is going through the school. I wish people would not send their kids to school while they are sick.

:(

I know the feeling. I am sick now...raging fever and sore throat.

I will not be losing sleep...I sleep alot when I am ill.

Take care, ltr...give Tiger a big wet one for me:kiss:

Just woke up and last night I could not sleep -- or when I did finally fall asleep my dreams were filled thoughts of a research presentation I have to do on Monday. I have the materials & I know I can pull it off by Monday but there is that "pressure" that I might not meet the professor's high standards ! *ack*

Fear was keeping me awake this week. From the friends thread last night:

I've discovered a few good friends from here at Lit the last few days. I had a bad health scare this week, and I was in a panic until I took a few more tests and the results this afternoon. (I'm fine, will just be monitored closely in the future.) A few people here did everything they could to keep my spirits up, practically held my hand through the computer screen in very supportive emails. Some others, I never heard from at all after I told them about my initial scare. I really appreciate the ones who took time to listen to me. They made it easier for me to get through a time when I couldn't even think clearly.

I slept like a baby last night! :)

Insomnia, working afternoons, boredom and stress. Plus a sick child and husband.

Being sick with a sick baby too. Plus you have to consider Lit too. This place is addictive ;)

Up and down like a yo-yo

A weak bladder. It's got me really pissed, too.:p
