Looking for that frisson again

This thread was a definite attempt to discover people like me, people who are responsible and sensible and businesslike and driven, but when you lift them up and look underneath you see they have a seething undercurrent of heat, passion, ideas, imagination...a world of illicit deviance and just need the right mind or the right encouragement to help it free again. I have that dark underbelly, that riptide of hot emotion, and this may be my vent.

If a few people like this turn up, it could make for a very interesting thread.

I'm having to remain in responsible mode at the moment...with Lit hidden beneath an Excel spreadsheet.

Has this thread gone too far now? I feel that it has probably run its course and the kindest thing we can do for it would be to take it out into a nice summer meadow and gently put it out of its misery. What do you think? I'll put up a couple of other replies but I'm very tempted to just wave goodbye and move on to threads anew.

Hi everybuggy,

Sorry I haven't been online, I have a friend (honestly, a whole friend all of my own and not one of the imaginary ones like Gary the railway repairman) who called me out of the blue yesterday and told me his wife left him ten days ago and he has been alone at home crying since then. He is now esconced in our spare room, we're getting him to eat and starting him down the road to making sense of things again. Therefore, ergo and QED I am away from keyboard for a while.
