Longer Stories vs. Shorter Stories

This has already been discussed to some extent in another thread, but I think I have resolved to have no more than 2 chapters in future stories. Tried one with 3 parts and one with 4, and they didn't work out to my satisfaction. Too complicated.

Also, I try to get each story or chapter on one Literotica page. Just my preference, but I'm mindful of the old adage, "The mind can absorb only what the ass can endure".

Any thoughts on this?

I think for stroke stories, the page length theory would hold to be a pretty good measuring stick.

I don't think it hold true as a blanket statement though. I've read a number of good series here on Lit that do fine at a length of three to five pages per chapter. As for how many chapters your stories can go, that's entirely a writer-dependent thing. Some prefer to kill a storyline after a sequel, others are on chapter 72 with no end in sight.

As far as too confusing for a story, try to write it not in chapters but as one long story. You can later break it up into chapters as you see fit. Just a thought - and it has worked to my satisfaction in the past.
