First, I hope this is the correct sub-forum for this thread.

I read Darla's Games and Jill's World some time ago and just decided to reread a few parts of it. I really like both of these stories by Panthergirl. They are in my top 3 Literotica stories of all time.

I remember that I didn't really like or understand the last couple of chapters of the 'Darla's Games'-Story. Well, not liking it might even be an understatement. I kind of hated that part of the story and am still thinking about different ways how the last day of the story could have gone before 'Jill's World' begins. But it might be just due to my misunderstanding of Jill's character. I am talking about this story: Darla's Games Day 16

If, by chance, Panthergirl will be reading this: Please know that I really like your stories and consider my following questions (and maybe criticisms) as gestures of appreciation! If I didn't like them or found them uninteresting I wouldn't think about them as often as I do nor would I have written the following words.
And I know it is a reach but I would love to know what you would have planned for Carrie's future (and Courtney's and Julie's and Jill's)?

So, as I mentioned before, I would like to ask all of you to help me understand a few things:
  • Up until that chapter (Day 16) Jill was some kind of symbol of hope for Carrie even though she was part of the whole setup that forced Carrie into this situation. But here she appears to be cruel, sadistic, and outright hateful towards Carrie (and Farin). Why? Was it just because Carrie and Farin interrupted her party?
    • Jill orders Sue to fuck Farin with a strap-on, spank her in the basement while she is captured in handcuffs and essentially held captive the whole time. And that's just Farin.
    • Carrie (either by Jill herself or by her command) is stretched out on a table until her arms and legs hurt, gets used as some kind of living dessert, is made to pleasure Sue, gets throatfucked by multiple men, gets repeatedly beaten and kicked by Jill, gets beaten with multiple objects for hours by Jill and another man, is then anally raped by that man with Jill's permission (or even suggestion), has to prepare lunch for a group of eight people while being exhausted and famished only to throw the meal away in the end, gets exposed to her best friend, and humiliated by being naked the whole time. And, she is also held captive the whole time without the chance to flee.
  • Why is Jill doing all those things to Carrie? Jill not only acts pretty harsh, even somewhat evil, but her character also appears to be different compared to the scenes with her before and after that weekend. She appears to be less compassionate than before and seems to be straight-up malicious by hurting, humiliating, and degrading Carrie. Sue said Jill would break Carrie that weekend. Why? Why is that necessary? Why can't Jill just talk to Carrie first about what she will be doing and why she deems those things necessary? Why does everybody seem to be just mean and hurtful to Carrie, even someone like Jill who appeared to be one of the only people Carrie could trust?
  • Why is Carrie kept in the dark about things regarding her life most of the time? Jill talked to Julie, Courtney, and the others for hours, so why can't she just talk to Carrie about that stuff?!
  • Jill mentioned that training Carrie is a huge commitment on her part so why does she even take on the role of Carrie's mistress and not just let her go? Does it have anything to do with the following passage:
    • '"Good. I'm rather cross with you for putting me in this position. I did not want this. But, if I left you to go now, you'd never ... " she trailed off, then shook her head as if shaking off an undesired thought.' <-- What did she mean by that?
  • After Carrie got beaten with multiple toys there's the following passage: 'Sue came in a short time later. Like almost immediately after the last swat on my ass, so Jill must have signaled her somehow. "Oh my God!" She squealed and I swear I could hear her jumping up and down.' --> Why did Sue squeal and jump? Was she scared by what she was seeing, did she feel bad for Carrie, or was she somewhat happy for what would follow: Carrie getting assfucked by the man?
  • After seeing Darla sob, Carrie bit her lip to hold back a smile and Jill said: '"You little bitch." Jill said, but not with anger, not really. She didn't raise her voice at all. "I will say, I was quite opposed to some of the methods used. But there were times you defied her just to test the waters and you know it. I don't blame you. She certainly should not blame you. But she will likely be years before trying to take on any such role again, if ever again. Do not smile and take this lightly, but do enjoy your moment while you can. I assure you this pleasure will crumble and choke you some day when you look back upon it."' --> What did Jill mean by that? How could she blame Carrie at all? Again, why does nobody seem to consider that Carrie got tricked into this whole situation, and was afterward blackmailed and forced to do all those things against her will. She might have enjoyed some of the things but she didn't consent to any of them. Everybody seems to act as if all of this was Carrie's idea and that she wanted to do all of those things that happened the days prior.
  • Why does Sue not like the following encounter between Carrie and Julie: 'Julie looked at me and I could see she had been crying her eyes out. They were all swollen and puffy and red. "I'm so sorry Carrie." She said and another tear fell down her beautiful cheek.
"No, don't" I cried back at her. Sue rolled her eyes. "Sooo who's hungry?" Jill glared at her and she sat back really fast.
    '
I understand that Sue only followed Jill's orders during Carrie's stay at Jill's house and that Sue is actually quite fond of Carrie. So, why does Sue roll her eyes at this moment? Not only was it just a short interaction between Carrie and Julie but it was also the first time they spoke with each other after Julie learned about Carrie's situation with Darla. Sue rolling her eyes at this moment makes her seem like a massive bitch, something that is kind of out of character for her.
  • And a question in general: Why is Jill so awfully mean and cold to Carrie in this chapter? As I mentioned before, Carrie didn't want to do any of this! She was blackmailed and forced to do stuff, and now Jill acts all angry with her while simultaneously being nice to Courtney and Julie.
  • Is Jill helping Carrie somehow? If so, why not say that? Is she punishing or disciplining her? Or did she break her for other reasons?
It all comes down to the question that I cannot wrap my head around: Why? Why is Jill doing this? And why isn't she talking with Carrie about that stuff?
  • I don't know... I think I don't understand Jill and her actions in this chapter and that's why I probably like this chapter the least out of both stories. Or rather, I pretty much hate Jill's character in this chapter. She used to be sympathetic and kind of wise but here she appears to be hateful and unjust. I am not really familiar with the BDSM scene but shouldn't there be some kind of aftercare to make sure the sub is fine and to comfort them? Instead of comforting Carrie and giving her a sense of safety she is greeted by loneliness, humiliation, pain, and a sense of despair...

So yeah, I would like to ask you to help me understand this chapter, and especially the characters and their actions better because otherwise, the story is great! And Jill also goes back to being a more caring and loving person and mistress in the story 'Jill's World'. It's just this chapter (and perhaps the previous one) that IMO stands out like a sore thumb.

Some other questions / impressions:
  • in chapter 'Day 15' it says: '"Don't worry Carrie." Rachel tried to console me. "You're doing better than anyone..." She cut herself short. "You are perfect. Everything you do is perfect, Carrie. You aren't being anyone but yourself. There is no better response to anything you do than exactly what you do."' --> Does that part imply that they did or tried to do those things with other girls as well? That Rachel and Jacki had to do those things before as well?
  • Does anybody else think that the blowjob chapter was kind of rushed and that those games or tasks should have been a much bigger deal for Carrie? Especially when considering that the task of having to give a blowjob in the locker room was the reason she had to move out of her mom's house and into her dad's house.
Not to mention getting whored out by Darla to a college boy, getting assfucked by a real cock, or generally getting fucked by a boy for the first time...
  • I think the story would have improved by adding at least one extra week. Sometimes it felt like too much was happening in a too short amount of time.
    • Example 1: Carrie goes straight to Courtney's house right after that second time in the gimp suit. Let her have at least one normal evening to process what had happened that day and/or let her do something to heal her mind and soul.
    • Example 2: In 'Day 15' there were two gloryhole events, one at school and one at the party in the evening. I think this was too much for just one day (= one chapter) and should have taken place on different days. That way Carrie could have also had the time to watch the recording.
  • Two things regarding Carrie's 'game' to pleasure strangers in the dressing room while blindfolded:
    • 1. Let Carrie show Darla and Farin pictures of her family or close relatives who might visit that store so Farin could occupy the locker room in time. Otherwise, there's a risk that Carrie's mom or the new girlfriend of her dad might visit that store coincidentally that day, discover Carrie in the changing room, and put an end to the whole situation right then and there.
    • 2. Additionally, let for example Barb (Darla's tattoo artist friend) give Carrie a wig or something similar so that her identity will be kept hidden. Otherwise, people might recognize her in the future but with a wig and a big blindfold on she should be at least somewhat safe that no future employer will recognize her.
  • I would have liked to read about another outburst from Carrie. Not a violent one where she hurts another person but I think it would have been nice to have a scene where she openly talks with e. g. Courtney, Sue, or Julie about her experiences during Darla's Games.
  • I think the story got abandoned but if there will be chapters in the future I would like to read more about the group that was present when Carrie did the 'pencil game'.

(English isn't my first language so I apologize for any mistakes and the text being somewhat hard to follow)

Hey, I totally get why you're confused about Jill's character in that chapter of "Darla's Games". It does seem out of character for her to be so harsh and cruel to Carrie, especially considering her previous sympathetic and wise persona. I think it's great that you're invested enough in the story to want to understand Jill's motivations and actions.

Jill’s actions are rather strange however perhaps she wished to present herself in a different manner, one that is bold. Perhaps, she wanted to bring Carrie to her knees but such actions are not acceptable even if a person is in a rebellious phase. Carrie is completely and utterly clueless here and never gave consent; it is not right she is being painted as the villain here. Sue’s reaction to Carrie and Julie’s conversation could be as a result of frustration that was exhibited by the two ladies. There were some aspects of BDSM which the author of the story could have developed in more details, for instance, aftercare. The ideas that you are giving to make this story better are quite good, and I will glad to answer to any additional questions.

Thank you and dennis88 for both of your responses!

I do have two additional questions and maybe you or someone else can help me out with them:
  1. The 'Bobby' - storyline: How would you proceed with her storyline? At the end of Jill's World chapter 6 Carrie seems to have forgiven Julie for meeting up with and fucking Bobby. But that storyline is still more or less unfinished and I would like to ask how you (or somebody else) would try to continue with it? What happens with her character? How will Carrie react to her when she meets her at the next group therapy session? What do you think would be an understandable ending to her storyline? Will she become a friend of Carrie's in the future, someone Carrie can talk with about what happened to her? Will Jill get involved somehow? Will she take Bobby down a notch or use her as a tool for Carrie's further training?
With the Rebecca situation more or less dealt with I would like it if Bobby isn't made to be the next big enemy, although I am not exactly sure how that could play out. Perhaps Jill can tame her in something like a battle of 'Mistress vs. Bully'. Carrie was terribly hurt by Julie's actions - and also by Bobby in that connection - so I would like it if Carrie either gets some kind of win over Bobby or at least doesn't continue to 'lose' to Bobby. Maybe by talking It out and reaching an understanding for each other or something like that.
And yet, I think it's set up for Jill making Carrie invite Bobby (or inviting Bobby herself) to one of their meetings where Carrie is then made to submit to Bobby in some way. Perhaps there is some way to clear the bad blood between them at this meeting so Carrie and Bobby become at least somewhat friendly with each other.
Another possibility could always be for Carrie to leave that group therapy group entirely and join another one, although I think that is neither what Carrie would do, nor what Jill would want, and it also wouldn't be a satisfying conclusion to Carrie's and Bobby's relationship/situation.
So yeah, any idea how to proceed and perhaps finish that storyline is appreciated!
  2. Aftercare: This is more of a general question. How can aftercare be done correctly in a BDSM relationship? Does it always have to be between the dom and sub? Can it be between the sub and a third party, or can it be done entirely alone by the sub?
I am asking because I mentioned above that I think especially after the strap-on gangbang with the cheerleaders there should have been at least a short period of time for Carrie to process what happened without being exposed to other stressful (and hurtful) situations directly after that.
And I was wondering how that could have possibly been done in the story. E. g. Courtney seems to actually care about Carrie so she could have noticed that Carrie is more physically and mentally battered than after previous tasks and games. So, Courtney could fake a phone call that her parents want her to get home alone because they will meet up with some business partners of her dad in the evening thus having to reschedule Carrie's visit at Courtney's house. Or Courtney could offer to go somewhere else and just talk and have a nice evening together, a much-appreciated timeout from Carrie's otherwise stressful last few days.
So, how exactly would that aftercare work out? And if Carrie can't do it on her own who could be a good person to talk to? I was thinking maybe Sue or Courtney. Darla and Rebecca wouldn't do something like that and Julie doesn't know about the stuff that happened to Carrie. Farin is in a somewhat weird position and I think that Jill would rather try to make Darla take care of that stuff. So I'd like to see Sue or Courtney do that. Either as an early sign for Courtney's ability to be a good dom or for Sue to be able to share some of her own thoughts on this matter as a fellow sub.
And what exactly would or could they do? Would they just talk about Carrie's experiences? Could Carrie do something to 'keep being a human', e. g. by writing about her experiences and perhaps a 'letter of excuse' to Courtney for breaking her nose?

And regarding my original question - Jill's (and Sue's) behavior in chapter 16 of Darla's Game - I have come to the conclusion that I just don't (and probably won't ever) understand their actions. Jill was always portrayed as a strict but fair mistress who truly cared for Carrie and wanted to help her in some way. She helped her win the bet against Darla in Chapter 1 by making Sue cum on command which resulted in the reduction of one week of Carrie's time of service. And she also felt seemingly bad for being partly at fault Carrie was blackmailed into that whole situation in the first place. After Darla told Carrie she was delivered to Darla by Jill, Jill couldn't stand to be in the same room with Carrie and had to leave, showing that she truly felt bad about the situation. Jill was the person that Carrie could trust the most during her whole ordeal, and who seemed to keep things in check so they wouldn't get too out of hand.
Plus there are many more instances that show Jill's benevolence and fondness for Carrie.

Yet, here in Chapter 16, she is shown to be a horrible person to Carrie (and Farin) by committing various crimes (assault, sexual assault, and even r*pe by proxy, deprivation of liberty, and a few more) seemingly unfazed. I mean sure, I get that you have to suspend disbelief for that kind of story and turn a blind eye to many things because the whole story is based on blackmail and pretty much everything happening to Carrie is a crime.

Nevertheless, I think the characters should act according to how they were portrayed in the previous chapters. E. g. Jill is the strict but fair mistress with a soft spot for Carrie, Sue also cares for Carrie and kind of roots for her. Darla wants to break Carrie at all costs to get into that elite circle Jill mentioned, Rebecca just straight-up hates Carrie and wants to hurt her physically and mentally, and Farin is in a weird spot by loving and caring about Carrie but also wanting to break her so that she can make Carrie her submissive girlfriend.

I was just skimming some of Chapter 16 for this response and I could see how Jill wants to do what Darla couldn't: to completely and utterly break Carrie. But, I honestly don't like that thought because it weren't only Jills' actions that led to that outcome. Plus, I think it shouldn't come as a surprise that a person would be broken after what had happened to Carrie at Jill's house and the previous day at school and the party.
If it would have just been about making Carrie into that willless and broken mess they could have completely skipped all those days, held her captive without food and water, and just proceeded to beat the shit out of her until Carrie couldn't think straight anymore.

So yeah, I am not a fan of the way Chapter 16 played out - and to a minor degree how Carrie's first gloryhole and assfuck experiences were handled. The aforementioned experiences just seemed to not be as impactful to Carrie as one might think considering what she was forced to do (in the school bathroom, even!), and how much experience she had before that (one blowjob if I am not mistaken).
