Well, apparently if it's not man-on-man porn or high class selfies, there's no interest. Then again, I really didn't offer a question. *stands tall and firm, shouldering the blame*

*perks to attention*

Does that mean we get a question now?

*ponders*

Hmm...I love to help others. I've never seen myself as a fixer, though. Isn't this more of a supporting role?

Endless, relying on others shouldn't embarrass you. You're too hard on yourself. (Hug)

A supporting role?

Errr, not the way I do itl :D

I am not too hard on myself! Besides, it fills my free time. ;)

Watching this thread is an interesting endeavor. Always surprised at how it winds its way along. A simple Lit related question today. Are you more drawn to a thread because if it's topic or potential content or do you go where the people are most interesting, regardless of content?

Ugh...Endless, if I had free time, I'd spend every moment of it on the beach. This reminds me the end of another summer has come. :(

I'm drawn to the content.

I enjoy the variety of topics and opportunity to make that choice. For me, that is one of the beauties of Lit. I do tend to be drawn to a thread more so by interesting people vs. topic merely because I am a people person. Of course, it all depends on my mood which can change at the drop of a hat or.. a pair of trousers... *ewwwww ..speaking of which...where was that pic. thread of hot guys* ?? Nomnomnom.. :)

I tend to visit the same 20-30 threads over and over again. They are the ones who (in my opinion) have drawn the most interesting comments &/or posters or that I have an interest in (i.e., music, movies, dirty pictures). Since I'm here mainly as a fun distraction, it helps tremendously if people are being funny. I tend to get turned off when people take themselves or this place too seriously.

So, now that I actually answered a question... can we get some more hot shoe porn up in here? ;)

It depends. I come here because I like the content. The Daily Question (when we get it daily) sort of...kick starts my day. I like the mental focus, particularly if the question I might not think of on my own.

The derails can also be rather entertaining. :D

Other threads attract me because of the participants, people I know well and play with on the boards.

So, it depends. :)

I'm often oblivious of new threads. When I log on to Lit, I tend to visit my Subscribed Threads first to see what's new there. I have auto-subscribe set, so they're mostly threads that I've posted in, plus a few that I've flagged up for myself as interesting without actively participating. Often, I don't look any further than those threads.

So, why do I first visit a thread? I'm often drawn in by the title, which in most cases (not all!) reflects the content. Sometimes, I'll visit a thread because I've post-stalked a Litster with whom I've exchanged some good banter and the thread looks to be a place where I'll find more. Occasionally, I'll discover a thread by using the search facility -- I go looking for one thing and find something completely different (though serendipitously fulfilling).

Overall, though, I'd say that potential content is the most powerful draw for me. :)

I always select 'new posts' then go from there.
Mostly it's the content, very occasionally the last poster draws me in....

I am like most of the others, the content of a thread. I like seeing what others wrote, don't necessarily follow an actual poster. It feeds my insatiable curiosity about people in general. I follow about 10 or so threads, some I post in, some I just lurk endlessly. ;) I come here for fun!!

Well, if content is king, yesterday was a bit of a disappointment in here. That's what happens when expectations rise, there's always a chance of not meeting them.

So, would you rather have high expectations and risk being disappointed more frequently, or set those expectations super low so you can always exceed.

Me, I'd rather fail at something big than be successful at something small.

I always have high expectations. While I prefer my daily life to move along in a steady rhythm I’m always striving towards big goals. The mundane doesn’t really hold much appeal. Even if things don’t turn out quite as expected (and when do they ever?) I can usually wiggle or nudge things to a suitable outcome. I have no problem being a nuisance :D. Occasionally some goal or desire will come along that circumstances indicate I need to abandon. While disappointing, I can usually just move forward on a new path. Disappointment I can handle, failure, on the other hand, I’m not all that fond of. :(

At least that’s my view when I feel like I have control. In situations that require dependency on others, or where I’m just flat out not in control, my behavior is much more tentative. It’s hard to set expectations when someone else is holding the reins. What if their expectations are different? What if their expectations are too low? What if they can’t follow through? What if they don’t have adequate drive or motivation?

*breaks out in sweat*

Okay. So, to answer the question. As in so many things for me, it depends. :)

Setting expectations and realistic goals/timelines is a big part of my job. So I try to underpromise and overdeliver in that arena. I think it does trickle into my personal life in some ways. But there are areas where I like to go big or go home. Fucking, for example. :D

I'm just guessing, but I bet you get more responses/content when you ask sex questions? Cheeky monkeys.

Pmann probably has a pair of pants with monkeys on them. He seems to have pants with everything else. Just a random observation. :D

Going Down in a Blaze of Glory..... Better to Burn Out than to fade away... SMELLS like sex and candy round here.....

Sheesh, 30hrs without a post, no clamoring for a question. I think the ol thread has lost its snap! ;) Time to shake the tree a little and see what nuts fall to the ground

So a quick fire sex related one, as it was suggested they are more favorable than Lit related questions.

The last time you had sex, were you completely lost in the moment with your partner or did your mind wander? Perhaps thinking of another, perhaps a Lit friend? How often does your mind wander? And is that a bad thing?

Lately my mind wonders often, sometimes a female from Lit, sometimes a nurse from the hospital......As far as a bad thing, that all depends on the state of your relationship I suppose.
