Somewhat to my surprise, I've not yet been shocked by anything that I've seen in my journey into kink. There are plenty of things that don't float my boat, but I seem to have assimilated quickly the ethos of most of the BDSM community of being non-judgemental about activities as long as mutual respect and safety are maintained. If I don't like it, then I just look elsewhere.Have you run into a kink here that has shocked you? Have you gotten to know someone here and found out they have a kink you never would've expected based on what you have seen of them on the threads? Have you discovered a kink that turns your crank in a way you never imagined it could?
Similarly, I haven't really been surprised by the kinks shared by Litsters. Almost everyone that I've met in the kink community has been a warm and caring human being whom I'd consider to be "normal" if that weren't something of an insult in that context! As such, I don't tend any more to carry expectations about the way that someone might behave (or not) in their sex life.
My wife and I are finding out a lot new things about ourselves and each other during our venture together into kink. Whilst there are some activities that we have ruled out due to strong feelings against them, there are others that we didn't think would appeal but we tried and found that they made our eyes light up. One of our ground rules now is to try as many things as we can without making assumptions about whether or not we'll like them. We've made some exciting discoveries that way!
