1. What's the most outrageous/romantic/expressive thing you've ever done for your significant other? It can be something dear and tender or something outrageous.

Valentine's Day, Sweetheart Dance, my senior year in high school. The girl I had been dating for about 6 months and I were going to the dance. We went to a local restaurant, had a very enjoyable time together, great food, lots of laughs. We went back to my house to go take pictures because parents are like that. Suddenly, she was not feeling very well. She darted down the hallway and, despite the lights being off, knew where the toilet in the bathroom was. She vomited her dinner ... and had no idea the lid was closed. When I turned on the light, I will simply say it was a mess and remain quite understated. She immediately ran back to the living room and began to cry. I removed the jacket to my suit, literally rolled up my sleeves and cleaned everything up, only the odor remained. I ushered her back into the house and got her distracted. Back to the living room, I found as many candles as I could, lit them all, turned on some slow dance music and went to fetch her. We danced together for a few songs and her tears turned to those of joy. After that, she felt much better and we enjoyed the rest of the evening at the dance with friends.

2. How about the other side of that coin? What's the most romantic/outrageous/appreciative thing someone has ever done for you?

Early in my college days, I was dating a girl for a number of months. We had engaged in other mutually orgasmic acts but I was still a virgin in the sense I had never experienced intercourse. I had offers before from others, but I politely declined each time. After a lengthy discussion, I agreed to do so with her setting the date. We went out to dinner and went back to her place. When she came into the bedroom, she was wearing a full length, thin layer of black silk, the gown having slits up the sides to her thighs, a deeply plunging neck line with spaghetti straps around the shoulders. She looked simply exquisite and I can see her visage in my mind today. My first time was intimate, romantic and love making. She made that special for me. I have not forgotten her gift since.

Aww... So sweet! Your first time reminds me so much of my own.

I'm diggin' the new AV, by the way :)

Thank you and yes, that's me. The profile pic is something of mine I thought I would share as well.

Your AVs always arouse my attention.

The most romantic thing I've ever done may not be considered romantic by most standards (flowers, candles, etc), but it suited the recipient perfectly. An old boyfriend and I took a short trip to Miami. On our first night there, after dinner, I wrapped myself up in this beautiful red sarong, like a gift, and came out into the room telling him to unwrap me. Of course he was pleased, because what guy wouldn't want to get a girl naked. But what did he find tucked into my panties? Two tickets to see the Dolphins play. It's his favourite team so he was THRILLED!

The most romantic thing done for me was done by the same boyfriend. He and I went to university together but he was from out of town - we're talking a different country, thousands of miles away. About two weeks after graduation and his moving back home, I had dinner plans with my best friend. We were both working and decided to meet up at this nice restaurant. When I arrived, I was looking for my friend but the restaurant was nearly empty, except for someone reading a newspaper in the corner. The stranger dropped the paper and said, "Looking for someone?" It was my boyfriend back for a surprise visit! We were sitting in the restaurant he took me to on our first date, sitting at the same table. It was the best surprise ever

My apologies to all. I will be a good king and lead by example.

Back to the original topic and enough with my stellar fashion sense.

1. What I'm about to share isn't necessarily romantic in terms of what anyone on earth would find romantic. However, it was incredibly appropriate for the time. My friend needed a laugh. Badly. So, this is what I did.

There is this song by Vanilla Ice called I Love You. It's every bit as awesome, original and romantic as the title says.

I Love You

I dressed up like Vanilla Ice. I sang and did a dance to the music. I am not a dancer. I played the sax solo with my bagpipe chanter and it sounded like a dying cat. It was hilarious. Humiliating. But it put a smile on her face and it was so worth it.

Now, you're probably thinking, "Oh, pmann did this back in the 90s when he was pboy and this is really cute." But no. It was not. It was like a year and a half ago.

2. There was a film of some memories that was made for me that I will never forget, despite having lost the video. I remember how much it made me smile. It was for Christmas one year.

Oh no! I wonder if chaos will erupt when our Dictator ... I mean Lord leaves for his mini-stay. Will Chained re-emerge to take the throne? Will a new leader rise through the ranks? Will an uneasy calm take over the Threaddom like the eye of the storm? Will anarchy rule supreme?!

No. My reign is supreme. Until Chain returns and I VOLUNTARILY relinquish control back to him. But we will do a better job of keeping on track!

And I've enjoyed reading the responses so far.

Today this thread is reminding me of how lousy a romantic I truly am. Lol :p

So, another follow up to the morning question...

Do you order to be the one who bestows the woo or receives it?

Lol yeah, I think I definitely need the right inspiration.

As for wooing it's always been a give and take with me. Like I have no problem showing interest but I'm very conscientious about coming on too strong.

I like when the wooing is mutual, that way both parties know the other is interested. However, I am slightly old-fashioned, so I do like the scales to be tipped a bit more towards me.

Are you the Borg thread?

"Strength is irrelevant. Resistance is futile.
Negotiation is irrelevant. You will be assimilated.
Freedom is irrelevant.
Self-determination is irrelevant.
You must comply.
You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile. "

Seven of Nine is my alter ego. Only Star Trek fans will get me..

I choose to fight..;)

I got you. I think Pmann is the borg-queen. We are being dragged in. Slowly. He already has changed from chainese to pmannese.

I like it to be mutual. It gets kind of empty if only one is trying to come up with original ideas and the other one isn't able to surpass candles and flowers.

I need some Litequitte opinions. What do you think of these pants:

They are the most atrocious things ever, right?

Again, this won't be our topic, but I have a friend who bought them and I need her to know that it's not okay to wear those in public. Or private.

I know I am running behind here, but I have to work for a living and cannot be on this thread 24/7. But I was so shocked about this issue, I had to comment.

I don't know how pmann does not know by his ripe age that EVERYTHING his woman friends and lovers wear is PERFECT. There is never anything wrong with how she looks and every hair, make-up, jewelry, clothing, shoe, etc. choice she makes is exquisite. EVERYTHING, always. And she should be met constantly with fawning compliments and expressions of your awe at her beauty and good taste.

Honestly, pmann -- this is fundamental. Grasp it without further delay.

I like to be wooed. I admit it. I think wooing is a two way street though. I also think the wooing should keep going even when you are comfortable with each other. Keep finding ways to show appreciation, desire, etc. More wooing, I say.

I like doing the chasing for the most part....but it does need to be returned. Little worse than a woman that plays stupid games.... flakey chicks are annoying as fuck.

Of the deep and solemn river
Where her willing feet now stand
On her plaid Zubaz pants
Mine pleased eyes doth land

And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Shall slight her fanny pack
Ere they match words with me

A serene and saintly presence
Sanctifies our troubled home
When we are graced, oh graced!
By that mullet upon her dome

Sitting patient in the shadow
Till the blessed light shall come,
Beaming bright neon pink legwarmers
My soul shall only succumb

Because I feel that, in the heavens above,
The angels, whispering to one another,
Smile upon thee, oh wondrous lady
A match, thou hast no other.
