Some lose track of their passwords when their computers decide they want to die in a fiery blaze. Brave little bastard. He went back in twice to save old floppy discs. The treadmill didn't even budge. Lost a great suit that was hanging on it.

Looks in, just got a 9-1-1 call for this thread. I was hoping to perform my version of chest compressions......oh well

For the new people floating around, don't be surprised to find out you are chatting with some who had spent time here, left, and came back with a new name. First time I encountered it, it threw me a bit. I couldn't understand the value of it. But over time, it makes sense and I completely understand why it happens. Don't feel as if the person was concealing something, there are times when a fresh start is needed.

Don't forget alts. That's when people are really concealing something.

So, I am just kind of wondering if the Dell is waterproof or something...

As for gifts - I've given and received gifts to and from friends on line in a variety of forms for all the usual reasons - birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, because I think it is something they would like. I never really thought it was unusual, so I guess I run with different people there. (I also give gifts in life - generosity is a virtue).

But, "giving gifts" is also a euphemism for paying for sex, real or online - so I am sure there is some of that going as well - prostitution is pretty much a universal human vice/virtue. (You can decide which.)

As for the guys who think they are not going to get gifts because they don't have vaginas...uh, there are whole other parts of the internet where, if you were willing, you could get all kinds of gifts...and probably tributes...

I love the internet. It is endlessly amusing.

A womans' tribute on a guys picture? I'm laughing how this is even possible. Squirting?

Several people have told me they were at one time a different persona or had an alt for various reasons. One told me the alter egos' name, which I've long forgotten. I never asked who the others had been or were still, just had I ever chatted with this as the other person before?

Was that me? :D

This question also brings up the missing Litster thread. Peeps declare who they miss, but yet I see the old persona posting about with their new names. I kind of feel bad for these people that felt close enough to miss them, but the new person didn't inform them who they now are.

That's probably the point though...wanting to escape their past life and people.
