Man. I didn't think people would step up to the plate with their kinks like they did. Well done, everyone. That was awesome to read. Thanks for participating. I certainly didn't expect a recipe to follow with the kinks. That was quite a shock.

In the same vein as our previous discussion, how important is it to you that you find someone who shares those kinks? On Lit? In your personal life? And how successful have you been?

Hmm, well my particular kink was nothing really to write home about. As for sexual tastes though, it's really not that important. My past lovers have all met my sexual needs in different ways. They've all been different and each of them had different sexual tastes. One thing in common with all of them however, is that they were at least moderately sexually adventurous. I find that important. Being willing to try new things, talk about sex, explore different ideas and fantasies. I do need that. I don't want to bore my partner sexually, and I don't want her to bore me. I'm not saying that she needs to be willing to try calling me daddy and gag on my cock while crying. Not even just once. I'm just saying she needs to be open about her sexual needs, and be willing to have fun.

I find passion and desire important in real life, as well. Love or being in love has not been necessary, but that feeling that I absolutely need to fuck and be fucked by her has to be there. She's gotta have those same feelings.

On LIT? Probably the same, but on a much smaller scale. I don't really come here looking for that, so it's not ever been on the forefront of any interaction here. If I do happen to find someone that manages that, then yay. If not, that's just fine.

Also, she has to like nettles being rubbed against her cooch. Just sayin'

I guess my own kinks (as above) can't be that important to me, as my wife doesn't seem to share them ("seem to": it's a long story!) and yet we're still very happy with each other.

Having said that, I've only realised fairly recently that I have those kinks, and I'm still exploring what they mean to me -- hence one reason for my time spent on Lit.

Lit awakened my kinks...and in turn I opened up to hubby. We both share the same...although, from his porn collection he likes a tad more extreme than I.
That was when I first joined Lit....now we don't seem to have the time or energy much anymore. :(

I've been lucky here at Lit to find like minded people as well. :D

I love passionate, variable and imaginative sex, so if the partner doesn't - then it is eventually going to create internal tension in the relationship. A particular act I could do without (which is why I rate myself low on the Kink Scale), but that sexual compatibility has to be there.

I struggle to understand why a person would stay in a relationship that wasn't sexually satisfying to them. That is a lot to give up for a relationship - and I wouldn't do it, absent some truly exigent circumstances.

...many reasons....financial...children....it's hard to 'up and leave' just because my sexual compatibility to my husband is nil. I wont speak for anyone else but for me it seems selfish to uproot my kids because of this one thing....

I've been very fortunate to find someone here who is on the exact same level as I am. It's a beautiful thing and our shared interests are so... Well, shared. We just click.
