I've probably offered some helpful advice to some people here and there. But there is one person, Rainshine, who I think I've helped and been helped by in ways that go far beyond anything I ever expected from a friend, let alone someone I met on the Internet.

The Internet can be a bastardly forum that provides a lot of difficulties. However, I never expected to meet someone as impactful as her and I don't expect to ever be so lucky again. I'm a thankful little fucker.

Strolls in. The place looks to be in decent shape. Thanks for keeping the windows open, letting knew ideas to flow in and not get stale.

Now, get your cakes, asses, and boobs back in here ;)
Captain - thank God you're back: you're needed in down in Engineering straight away. Only you can help

Okay, someone suggested a question so here it goes...

Have you ever helped someone who is on Lit with a r/l problem? Has anyone on Lit ever helped you with a r/l problem?
What an excellent question. I've had long PMs back and forth with a number of people: sometimes they helped me, sometimes the reverse, but there's something about feeling safe in their confidence that reaches far beyond the pixels and electrons. They know who they are and we'll always have that bond :rose:

Well hello Litiquette-izans. I'll try to re-enter slowly, I'd hate to get a case of the bends from coming back too fast ;)

Coming in too strong or too fast is always a concern when flirting with others here. Sure you want to show interest, show desire but how do you know when to cross THAT line. In RL, there's body language to rely upon but here you see no smile, no twinkle in the eye, no way to scooch just a little closer ;). So the risk of going further here I think is higher here only in that often times it's more of a blind step, is it not?

Good to see you Chained :)

I'm shit at flirting so I just don't do it. I'm much better at sarky comments and banter :D

So good to see you back!

I think this question might be more for the men...for us women we just need to say "Hi" and it's misconstrued as crossing over the proverbial line.

Welcome back Chained! I see some prefer you asking the questions and not anyone else, lol

Anyway, was just trying to keep you thread going until you returned. ;)

So good you said it twice. ;)

I love you much. I don't care how big your stick is, how many duck face selfies you post in your pic thread, or how many times we butt heads because you're a giant dickhead and always wrong and never remember anything at all (and by you I mean me) I still love you. Much.

Quoting just in case she changes her mind and tries to edit it.

Isn't protocol after receiving said "HI" to reply with wang pics?

Have I been doing it wrong all this time?

And here I always thought "hi" was a salutation. I wonder how many times I've been hit on and didn't realize it ;)

How much slips past you here at lit. I know that there's so many cryptic messages and innuendo I'd feel lucky if I knew 5% of that was going on. Usually I need someone to tell me. :)

In the interest of parity, it can work both ways. I really enjoy playing the flirting games, I don't do it in RL so this is challenging. But I have had it assumed that all I was looking for was to get others off. So, it's not just men (but we're by far the major ones) that can "cross the line".

You got real gold? I got one where the paint wore off.....LOL

Isn't there some expression about chrome and tow-bars - is that the same thing?!

You've been hitting on me since I got here Chainey ;) I think you've got to expect some things to slip by or else you'd be classed as paranoid. I prob read too much into what people say, but it kind a depends who the person is - another reason to be wary of newbies

I am sort of a mix... sometimes I read too much into what people say and other times what they are saying goes right over my head.... it would be nice if I could just have somewhere in the middle!
