Happy Saturday, weekend Litiquette-izans. It's going to be an awesome spring day, I plan on enjoying lots of it outside. So what's your version of an awesome Lit day?

Being able to get onto Lit. I know that might sound daft, but because it's blocked by the ISP when I'm away at university, I can only get on during the few weeks I'm at not there, so I really enjoy as much conversation and getting to know people as I can.

If in the process I can flirt, play, see beautiful pictures, and indulge in some sexual conversation, then that's even more of a bonus .

I think the way Mr Chrome broke at the end, and then coasted in, those longer lengths won't be problematic

I think it depends on which forums you frequent. The Personals seem to only need heavy breathing on the other end of the keyboard. The GB is all about vitriolic stimulation. The Playground has it's ups and downs regarding fast burning romances vs. a somewhat elongated courtship. I would agree though, there is something for building a proper foundation to ensure the house will stand, but for the most part the threads rent by the hour on a site like this.

Thank you. All thoughts are welcome, even the quick off the cuff ones. There's no requirement to develop a riveting dissertation. And many post after the fact, just quote the post and go to it.

Having fun, enjoying sexual stimulation, getting to know some people better and better....while trying to keep a safe distance. It can be a tough balancing act. The closer and more intimate the connection, the hotter the sex, but then you take the chance of getting hurt. I guess that part of Lit is no different than real life. It may not have been what you were asking...but just a thought.

I was thinking about this the other day. Even though this is a virtual environment, the relationships are between people who, as in real life, sometimes click, sometimes don't. It often amazes me how little difference there is actually, between lit and rl, in terms of the humanity of it all.

I tend to be very cautious about any interactions I have here, and I'm certainly guilty of slowing things down to a crawl at times. I tend to be here for a more interesting interaction than a quick phone fuck, so I like to be sure the person I'm talking to is interested in the same. Sometimes it takes a while to weed out the leg humpers.

I have good friends on here. I have friends on here that just seem to want to muck around. And then I have special ones. I guess it is like real life as well. You have your close circle of friends and then the ones you occasionally hang around with and muck about with. Then there are those select few or one that are just that extra special.

It may have taken a while to develop that bond but it does happen. Even here.

I've been taken aback by just how deep a friendship can become on here. In the beginning I fully expected casualness and selfishness but there are real people here with wonderful hearts and minds. On the flip side there's also playfulness and shallow fun and that has its place too. I suppose I'm a little bit of chameleon and mould to the way people react and talk to me: within the confines of my personality I allow different elements of me to surface. Occasionally that has taken me out of my comfort zone but its easier to get the measure of people here by how they react and deal with that: some prove to be everything you've built them up in your heads to be, others *shrugs* not so much.

There have been times when I had some spare time only to come to lit and not only fill up that spare time but actually start to use the time I needed to be doing something else. Do any of you try and regulate your time here, making sure not to have one hour stretch into three?

I do. Sometimes I don't succeed though and suddenly find myself hurrying to finish (even start!) RL things ...

I polished my silver julep glasses and put them to good use on Saturday. My parents bought them for my grandfather in Mexico in the 50's and they are one of my more treasured family heirlooms. They get a nice frost on them and make drinking even more of a pleasure.
