Good morning. How strong is your Lit habit? Do you grab your phone while you're still in bed and check out what happened while you were sleeping? Or do you saunter in as a option of last resort?

I check in every once in a while if I have free time...

But once I start studying and I'm supposed to be productive... have to get my Lit fix regulary :)

Never in bed... bathroom, coffee...then Lit, unless RL demands in.

3rd page?!

There's no way I could even see on my phone on first awakening. It's doesn't expand large enough.

I have two RP threads so I check it often, and yes, when I first wake up. I check it on my tablet, but don't post from the tablet too often since it is a pain to do so. So I will read any updates from those threads and if it is my turn to post in the story, I will start thinking about it before I ever get to my computer and turn it on.

It there was some particularly interesting conversation going on, I might check upon waking, but normally, I don't have any real sense of urgency for Lit. I do remember that urgency well from many years ago when I first ventured into online communities, but the novelty has long since worn off.

Never while I am still in bed.

Hmmm, my habit has threatened to be an addiction, especially when I was brand new. I' m still relatively new around here, but I' ve calmed down a bit, and now only occasionally grab my phone first thing while still in bed.

There at many types here at Lit. Those that never play, those that would fuck anyone at the drop of a hat, some that prefer a connection and those seeking something beyond the boards. We all came in with certain expectations/rules/boundaries. And I askme we've all pushed past those initial boundaries. What made you push beyond and what makes you stay where you are?

This has nothing to do with your question (Uh oh...hijack), but I just want to commend you for keeping this thread so interesting. You post at least 2 very thoughtful questions a day. Not many people take so much time and effort to keep their thread going, and doing their utmost in keeping the people interested and participating.

Thank you Chained.:rose:

Thanks Thandi :rose: and sine it's a compliment only small points deducted. ;)

I do it because I enjoy the dialog. Days like yesterday when it's fun and goofy and other times when it's serious and sometimes emotional. I'm a curious sort and enjoy hearing others points of view. I'm shocked by the number of views and posts. As long as people keep contributing, I'll keep scratching my brain for topics.

Monday's moral dilemma. A friend confides in you they are/want to leave Lit. Do you try and get them to stay, allow them to control their own happiness and be supportive of their choice, or give them an easy come, easy go nonchalance because you don't invest that much in Lit relationships.

I would talk to them and if it was their honest choice then I would support them and hope to stay in touch with them some other way.

Curiousness made me push beyond some boundaries and carefulness and my comfort zone make me heed/keep some others.

If a real friend would confide in private, I would ask why. Maybe I'll give my perspective on the problem (if there was one) but principally I would support their choice and, like Wombat, hope we would stay in touch some other way. Which, if said friend was a real friend, we most probably would be doing anyway already.

As others have said, if we've become friends, then we're already communicating in other ways beside Lit. Or if I was just getting to know someone but was genuinely interested, I'd offer that and hope they'd accept.

One thing about getting to know people online is that you do have to learn to protect your heart to some extent, because it's all too common for people to just disappear without a word, even when things to all appearances have been going fine.

My one friend has already gone this route, not entirely gone but mostly. I've expressed how I enjoyed posting with her, and how my Lit experience is not the same without her, but I communicate with her in other ways and that makes up for it.

Dear OP, never give multiple choice answers and if you do, don't make one of them the obvious choice. No real discussion points.

Dear OP. You do an awesome job. :rose:
I haven't been in this situation yet, but personally applaud the choice to return to real life without the crutch of this fantasy world. It's more than I could do, at this point anyway.

Early afternoon thread.

To tag onto this morning's topic, when enough be enough for you at Lit? When will walk or do you see yourself hanging around. One thing is for certain, Lit reinvents itself on a weekly basis it seems.

It comes down to friendships. People move on and the sparkle goes out of some threads: it's been a long time since I was crying with laughter in a thread and good discussions ( outside of this one ) are hard to come by. I can see it being a whimper, not a bang, and once you've been gone a couple of months it must feel very strange coming back.
But lets not be down - lets do some bright colours and stuff :)

Dear OP,

Reread your discussion topics so the lack of ommited words doesn't cause one to continually go , before pressing send.

K, thanks! ;)

Hmm - a question I ask myself frequently, and I keep hoping the answer will come to me. I certainly am not going as full throttle as I was when I started, and I've felt myself losing interest lately - primarily because I run a pic thread, and that can turn into work some days, and it's easy to run out of photo ideas and time.

I do hate when things get dramatic around here - I try to steer clear of folks who seem to feed on drama and take things a little too seriously, or pick on other people. I've seen a bit of nasty name calling here lately, and I frankly don't get why grown people resort to that kind of thing. That makes this all tiresome at times.

I'm here for the flirting, and to talk about sex, and if any of that ever ceases to be fun, I'll stop.

Interesting....so many people are here for various reasons...but the main reason SHOULD be for fun and e-fulfillment....the quarrels and name calling make it less fun, and I take time off for a few days when that starts happening....flirting and talking about sex is what the site is supposed to be about..

Oh, and gawking at profile pics...like yours....YUMMY...
