Seems like a veiled attempt at a free for all. Motion denied :)
Not at all. I've got self-restraint.

I'm curious. It's the scientist in me. I'm almost down to make a thread for it, if it wouldn't die.

*waving thought away*

At any rate. Litiquette question: What do you do when you have a benign stalker? One of those awkward folk that are always nice and pleasant, but always just a little bit off centre? Post-stalker, constant PM'er. How do you deal with that?

Self restraint is no fun at all!!
That's a game for two at least, don't you think?

As for what to do if someone hangs about rather more than you'd like, my mother always said to be polite.

Self-restraint can be fun when you finally let go. ;)

Always. but doesn't it tend to be a little awkward?

Maybe but it's a "do unto others" situations isn't it? Plus there's this to consider--what if NOBODY were hanging around, wanted or unwanted?
There's a world of difference between encouraging someone and just being nice. How would you want someone to respond to you if they sort of didn't want as much attention as you were giving?

There are times this place reminds me of the worst parts of high school--the cliques and the cool kids and finding a place to sit at lunch. That may be why I so often disappear for months on end, I just get tired of all that. There's a lot of good stuff too though, and a lot of really good people. Sometimes that stuff is really difficult to find through all the BS but it is there.

Isn't that the truth?

It is good to take breaks from Lit. I do. Sometimes long ones.

I sat by myself at lunch. :p Clique-less.

You see it everywhere.

But for the record, I kind of like those people. They're always the most fun to talk to. :)

*You took the words right out of my mouth :)
Thanks for voicing what I feel, I could not express it as well as you just did, and making so much sense of it all.
But I also feel some people are just not honest with their approach or about the sort of "friendship" they really want, and others are very good at leading astray, playing the sort of mind games that can result in creating havoc with peoples' hearts and minds, from words that can be a double-edged sword, and some are quite skilled at wielding it.

You are a gem, NotHisLady :rose:

I LOVE your AV.

confession time--
I was in the marching band (if you dare tell ONE SOUL!! ) LOL
I remember hearing someone say that "these are the best years of your life" when I was in high school. I pity anyone that's really true for.

I can so see Chained_up in a black robe and gavel in hand....

What is this reading of the minds over here :D

Just please tell me he's either wearing those form-fitting soft almost transparente white boxer briefs, or the buff option one

I saw no reference to the complimenting of OPs or just drooling over fantasías of fellow Litsters, Litiquette, any infractions?

I don't think Wyshs wants us to add more to her tormented mind already.

(But I bet he is naked under that robe.. not a stitch on him!)

Wishing Wyshes well :rose:

But this enquiring mind wants to know, thanks for that heads up, jacko, good man!

Damn, I knew I shouldn't have sent so many PM's!
