I'm privileged to be on the receiving end of that with a couple of people here, people I consider 'friends' and don't think of as 'lit friends'. I've had a few of those over the years. And I don't mean anything vaguely cyber-ish or luuurve-ish or owt like that (sorry, rumour-mill). I mean friends. People who've known more about me than my closest friends IRL.
People who I've comforted, and been comforted by.

I've shared too much of myself, without doubt.

That definitely would be scaring! And the reason I do share a lot (even more in private) but certain things are off limits to even my closests (why does spellcheck say that isn't a word? close, closer, closests seems logical to me ...) Lit-friends until they would become real life friends.

It's heart-warming to hear that this is possible. That hasn't been the case for me yet, although I don't see any inherent reason why it couldn't happen.

Fortunately, that hasn't happened to me. I have carried out one action that has had a (positive) RL impact for another Litster, but that was entirely with the prior knowledge and approval of the lady in question.

Oh how I love a three day weekend. I'm curious, besides it being a National holiday in the States, and many of us not having to work, will you do something specific to honor the day? Or is just a day off and time to go do something fun?
