I thought my tolerance level was fairly high...but I too have posted when I've had enough. I will usually wait a while and just not post in that thread...but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I think as long as you're not an asshat about it, voice away.

Such a good answer, but couldn't you have posted it a minute later, so it got behind mine.

Love your hat by the way. :rose:

So if he has 20,000 posts it's ok to pee on you?:D
Errr...nope lol

I often think the whole point of the internet is to voice your opinion, whatever it may be. How you choose to voice it is what separates the wheat from the chaff. Looking back at your own posts - are you wheat? Or chaff? (And what another person thinks really doesn't matter.)

I'm the total package, wheat and chaff. lol

The wheat kernel (the edible part) is surrounded in a fine feather like vegetation, to protect the tender seed from the rougher parts of nature. When wheat is threshed, it separates the wheat kernel from the chaff. (Incidentally, the chaff makes great golden clouds, quite beautiful in the sunlight - and then, it falls on everything and gets in everything.)

Some sentences and sentiments are wheat - tasty, nutritious, nourishing, and capable of becoming so many things. Some are chaff - vaguely irritating and cast aside.

The useless bits (of wheat)....the fluff that flys away....

Chained...I'm not so sure that definition fits you;)

Thank you two!!

Paul clearly has the better answer....I nominate him to answer all future wheat questions....lol:D

Oh and, uh, for the record...I don't know ChainedUp's package well enough to comment on it. Though, the mental image was golden...

,,,and fluffy.

;)

Good morning Litiquetteville. Needless. An interesting word that more often than not is used improperly. "Needless to say" than why say it. A newspaper article claiming a "needless shooting" as if there are shootings made out of need. But that's not the topic today.

This morning's topic is: What is needless here at Lit. Now this is assuming everyone here is buying into the premise of Lit because, yes, Lit itself is probably needless (or is it?). What goes on here that strikes you as needless or unnecessary?

Some of the meanness here is needless...we're here to have fun, right? But some come here just to cause drama.

The cliques piss me off, too. There are some people here who speak to only a few people, ignore others, talk to only men or only women, etc. It's annoying to have your posts ignored or skipped over so someone can leapfrog to someone else. How hard is it to be nice???

hmmm, the link didn't 'quote' - but you know what I mean! :p

interesting conversations today......

Yes, I missed a lot!

Lurkers: I don't mind them. If they PM me (and if it is a polite PM) I'll answer them. The others go pffeeeet!

Needless on lit: spoiling other people's fun.

*Well I, for one, refuse to speak to JoyDyan, because she eats cake. I'm a snob and I don't like to talk to anyone I don't know.

Of course with that logic, I refuse to speak to any of you strangers. So there. :p I'll just stay here in my corner posting pics of my boobs....

*sarcasm font -- just in case you couldn't figure that out all by yourself!!!:heart::heart::cattail:

P.S.: I think I may have offended someone with my sarcasm font. If so...I apologize, however that was your choice.

It has been an interesting day here in Litiquette-ville. The topics closest to our hearts often evoke the most passion. And while I will say that my topics are a reflection of what I am thinking, the intent is never to accuse. I use this forum as a sounding board and as way to test my thoughts. If I am wrong, I want to change, if I am ambivalent, I wish to change as life must be lived with passion, and if I am right well then........

The topics are pure, the conversations real, and if you find emotion welling from within, than thank God you're alive!
