Different? Mostly avoiding large crowds and missing out on meeting friends for breakfasts or the Christmas parties I'd go to.

Welcome, change? Aside from spending less, I can't say.

Gratitude? That my friends, neighbors, and siblings are all still hanging on, grimly, but hanging on and hopeful.

And I miss Suz big time too.
 
I’m not doing much differently this year. Honestly, COVID hasn’t changed my life a whole lot. It’s kind of an interesting year for many, but my life hasn’t been turned upside down. I’ll still have the same kind of Christmas as every year.
 
As for the filter question...

I’m not a fan. I like the natural look a lot better. It’s not that someone filtered doesn’t look good. But it looks like those InstaBitches that I just genuinely dislike. I don’t like that look because it reminds me of the self-absorbed, OHEMGEE LOOK AT ME culture.

I have a pretty big family, so Thanksgiving and Christmas was/will be pretty quiet.
We talked about going to Colorado over the holidays, we’ll see. Might be a spur of the moment trip and I’m like “let’s go people!”
(Or maybe I just go) 😆

I’m grateful I haven’t lost my ever loving mind with my husband working from home, kiddo in zoom school and all the helplessness drifting around at times.
When my studio doors are closed they know to leave mama bear alone.
Also, I’m happy to say I haven’t turned into a day drunk, hippie stoner, online shopping addict or master gambling Chess player.
I’ve for sure pondered all of the above.

- I am out of the city.
- Being out of the city.
- Grateful my little grove has remained largely unaffected by COVID fallout.

A lot yet not so much, it seems. No big gathering as we enter Lockdown II, but still going to do the meal on a smaller scale and do some curbside deliveries. So I plan on spending a lot of Christmas day smoking ribs and making cornbread still. The gifting has been different, more "let's just ship this to where it's going" which I don't love as much as you can't see the reaction to a good gift.

Welcome change? Maybe that there's a little more gratitude around Christmas? Like, with all the shit, it seems like I'm trying to be in the spirit more. Watching movies and listening to music, seems that while harder to see each other, people are trying harder to find ways to meet virtually. That's a positive. I don't have to put on real pants as much if that counts.
