After reading the replies to this question, I am more eye-rolly than people would probably expect. The vast majority of the time I do not express the eye-rolling in a response/post, but behind the screen there is some hardcore eye-rolling occurring. No one posts here anymore. Shameful.
I’ll ask a question... we all have perceptions of who we are. People see us as this type of person or that type of person. Sometimes those perceptions are incongruent with who we are.
What is it about you that people may find surprising after they get to know you?
For me, the most common thing I hear is “you’re not such an asshole”.
What I have come to realize is that I don't understand the need behind why some people post things they choose to share here. I also realize from reading about people who identify as an Empath that I am 1000% not one. I'm not saying I have serial killer levels of low empathy, but my empathy is rarely directed towards someone who is whinging about nobody responding to their posts or that they don't feel like one of the cool kids on a sex chat site.
I understand that those folks are getting support and responses that they need/crave from other people when they express those feelings. But for me, it tends to push me away and not want to get to know someone better.
So I guess people may be surprised that I'm a cold, heartless bitch.
p.s. SB's post about eye-rolling got me thinking about my response, but for the record, I have never eye-rolled at her, ever.
