I think JSG nailed it, at least for me. I'm not hiding anything, but I probably omit 85% of my thoughts with regular people in real life. For my friends (in RL), if they read the things that I post here, they would instantly recognize me--I have no doubt about that. So does that make me more honest here? Probably not, but it is still an honest part of me. But of course, how much of the real me can I share here. I'm just words. I threw up last night because I ate some bad Chinese food--why would I share that here? Who wants to hear that reality. Isn't the "fantasy" version of me more fun than the throwing up Chinese Food version? In real life the throwing up version would seem fallible and real which is more appealing, but online aren't we just here to laugh, get horny and have a good time? This is a place where nobody ever throws up Chinese food and that's kind of why it's fun--at least for me.

Not any more. I realise now that my natural response to tears was to try to shut them down, primarily in order to make me feel better. It's a bit like the way that a parent tries to quieten a small child who has grazed a knee by telling them to "be brave and stop crying". That's not necessarily the best thing for the child who is attempting to express their raw pain.Nah. Men just can't handle tears.
This understanding has helped me to overcome my initial kneejerk response and to assess instead what the person who is crying really needs. It might be that they want a reassuring hug, in which case I'm happy to provide one. On the other hand, they might need me to stand back and allow them to express their emotions freely. Try asking, or at least assessing the options.

It was a late start to Friday frolicking, Papa C. Some of us were deep in the frolic at that point and/or wrapping it up. What can I say? I'm getting old and am usually in bed by 11pm on Friday nights. *sigh*
But Saturday sexiness has been a big success so far.
I usually have my Saturday planned out before my head hits the pillow on Friday, so my mood is dependent on those plans. It's either "get up, get going...lots to do" or more languid with warm, slow stretches and snuggling under the covers with wandering fingers.

Also, moods can change on a dime if you really want them to. Sometimes I have to "force" a mood, but once it gets rolling it becomes genuine. So I can usually get into whatever mood is required for the moment regardless of my first thought of the day which is usually "Well that wasn't enough sleep to survive on."

Not often. Although I do think my mood for the day is often determined before I get out of bed. (and no, you pervs...it's not whether I get a morning romp or not...well..OK, fine, yeah it is...
)I think often my mood is set by how well I slept and whether I am worried about something. That worry invades everything, even if it's not the first thought of the day.

I'm curious, how many people actually felt more tired after the switch to DST? For me, I think that extra tiredness is a bit of a myth. How many times have we all lost an hour of sleep and didn't feel debilitated by it? So Litsters, DSTlag, fact or fiction?
