Six months ago I was still kind of grieving a loss, so everything was a little duller and muted. But it's all coming back.

Steering clear, some days/weeks it's like a landmine field here at Lit. What's your first tip that a landline is dead ahead and course correction is imperative!

I never see them coming. Seriously.

Everyone lies on the interwebs, right? We get to highlight the parts we want and hide the stuff we don't. There's also a certain level of anonymity needed to survive here. You can't be plastering everything like you do on Instagram for privacy reasons.

Lit does allow an avenue for us to be truer to ourselves than other platforms, though. At least that's what I use it for.

I think it's a bit higher. I think here is where people place the parts they wish they could on the outside world. I give it atleast 50%.

I hope for 50%, but don't expect it.

I think it's because most people are putting their cheerful, witty, most sexualized versions of themselves here. So other Litsters aren't dealing with the obstinate a-hole part that lurks inside so many of us. Or the part that farts uncontrollably after eating too much hummus and can't ever seem to remember to close the garage door or whatever annoying habits we have.

I'm thankful that I'm not actually looking for a partner here. It is full of great unknowns and half truths. But the 50%-ish we do see can be a heck of a lot of fun.

I've definitely changed personally. Last year was about rebuilding and positive transformations. And someone came along unexpectedly and we're discovering what being in a happy, healthy positive relationship is. This year it's about building on that. So probably why I'm not around as much. Haha

I've had a good deal of positive experiences with people, made some great friends and all that. But there have also been some straight up "fuck with my head" horror shows. So...50%?

I think it's relative to how much of themselves they hide in their day to day lives. If they suppress 85% of their true selves on a daily basis, we probably get the majority of that here. If they are pretty open in real life, we will surely get less.

I wasn't thinking all of Lit - just the PG. So yeah, if we're talking ALL of Lit, the % would be lower, imo.

That's an interesting thought. You might be onto something.

I'm not sure that I agree, but my personal sample size of interaction probably isn't large enough to argue against it.
