Right U are

I just got back from a vacation late Sunday night and my house is still a mess.
Suitcases in the middle of the livingroom, camping stuff still looking for its permeant home, laundry begging to be done. I don't mind the planning and packing for our trips, but the mess afterwards I'm not a fan. It's still all worth the effort and I'd never think twice. We always make a pic book through Apple when we get back. Looking through the book throughout the year, reminiscing and keeping those memories fresh is what makes me forget all mess afterwards.

I post on FB; and my pals always thank me, as I go all over and i got friends who just cannot travel.

What's a new habit you've picked up in the last three years? If it's a good one, why did you wait until now to have it? If it's a bad one, why did you start and why do you continue on? Why is self discipline the hardest of all the disciplines?

It's been closer to four, but I'll say Lit.

I don't do social media. Or other forums. Lit is my only online social interaction.

There have been ups and downs, but on the whole it's been good. It's allowed me the time and leisure to explore, and explode, some of my self-created reality. I actively seek opportunity to work on myself as a person, challenge my perceptions. Lit has provided unexpected opportunity in that arena. Possibly opportunity not available without the distance afforded by online. In some ways my self and world view have been validated. Also good.

Why did I wait? My social needs are minimal. It simply never occurred that online interaction would have anything to offer.

Self discipline. Hmmm. That is a tough one. There are times I should be here less. My plate is occasionally too full, and more serious friendships can be maintained off Lit. My breaks do get longer. It may be that I will eventually just not come back. Until then, I will continue to reap the benefit available from my Lit experience.

Hmmm... I'm gonna have to think a little on this one.
I'll be back.

Always appreciate extra effort posts, fixing what you can beats staying quiet.

What percent of posts have meaning beyond their face value meaning? From innuendo, to teasing, to letting someone know they're appreciated, I would venture to say that a third of all posts have a hidden meaning.

In general I would think one third is pretty close. For me personally, probably closer to two thirds.

Oh, and I'm first today!! Do I get a prize??

I would have said a quarter. But most of the board gossip zips right over my head, so who knows. I do occasionally amuse myself trying to work out who certain posts are targeted towards.

Based on my own posts... Hmmm.

Based on posts of of people I actually know to some extent.... Hmmm.

And are we counting responses to other people's posts.... Hmmm.

I'm going to have to change my answer. Half to two thirds. :p

Hard to measure....

Its so easy just to send over a PM if you really wanna connect with someone. They dont always answer, but there is usually a good reason. But Litsters are usually interesting, and worth the effort. Most have simple manners too.

Agreed. You hear so much about the ones with bad manners it's easy to forget that most are polite.

I'd say 98% of the posts have some sort of meaning. The other 2% belong to ydahecnot, who knows what he's thinking.
*giggles and waits for him to stroll through and notice.* 😜

Best lit day of the week for you? Monday because you can finally get back online, Saturday because you can finally get here after the work week, Fridays because , well it's Friday? What's your favorite day to be on lit, and why?

It used to be Friday, or possibly Thursday. The point where most people's week had slowed down, enough they could come in and post in a more relaxed fashion.

Now? I'm not sure that I care anymore.

Weekends are harder?

Otherwise they're all the same.

Monday --- start of a new week and the house is quiet again.
Fridays --- well, just because. 😈

Damn, it's quiet in these parts. Over 24 hours without any action, seems wrong on so many levels.

If you could right an old wrong, would it be a most recent one where the "correction" would have the most impact right now, or an older one because it was just so wrong?
