So penetrative sex is the only sex that fills that emptiness?
I'd say no. If we continue with the metaphor of the value of a bowl being the emptiness, we can consider the singing bowls common in Tibetan monasteries, where the value of the bowl arises from the song, with is brought about by a slow, firm, circling of the very rim of the bowl, filling the emptiness with sound.
But, good sex is far beyond the physical - there is another emptiness that is filled in a compassionate physical relationship - and that is the emptiness in the metaphorical heart, that is awoken by compassion and love and contact. I'd forward that is the true value and it exists well beyond the physicality of any act.
