As an active participant in that thread, your approach to it interests me. I am genuinely curious about people I interact with on here, and it's cool when I get to see more than just their words. I never really go there to judge how someone looks, though.

Exactly this. I like having a face to attach to a name, and I also think that it sometimes takes courage to post in there. I try not to judge, although my favorite thing is when the person in my head and the person in the photo are LIGHT YEARS apart. I find it amusing when I'm soooooo wrong.
And I have an OK rack, Pmann, so I can still post in there, right?

I don't participate in that thread much, though I am always curious what people look like it doesn't really change my perception of them because my perception isn't anywhere near fully formed for most folks online, if that makes any sense.

I'll admit it - there are times when I've seen a picture of someone and been a bit disappointed. Mainly because I build up these expectations that aren't really based in anything other than my imagination.
But I will say that the disappointment tends to be a very shallow reaction to very shallow relationships. The people with whom I have deeper friendships, I've never been disappointed. They're beautiful.
