Quick hitter this morning: you are traveling 6hrs from home and you have options for plane, train or automobile. For the sake of discussion let's assume price is equal for all 3. Which do you chose?

Plane - if the price is the same and I am alone that six becomes under 2, which means I get to spend more time at my intended destination.

I am definitely choosing plane. But for other reasons. I can go home to see my family in a 6 hour flight.

that said, I'd opt for an automobile, though I have a softness for traveling by train, so that would be a close second.

In that case, definitely plane. I can get further away in 6 hours on a plane - someplace warm, tropical... when do we leave?

It depends.

My first instinct is car, however if I'm flying the plane, then I would prefer to fly myself over drive myself. I don't like flying commercially, so a commercial flight is the last choice for me.

I've never taken a six hour train ride. That'd be an interesting experience, although I think I'd still pick road trip.
