I don't know what that is but it sounds deliciosly naughty. Consider yourself scrunted:D

Main Entry: scru·ti·ny
Pronunciation: 'skrü-t&n-E, 'skrüt-nE
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural -nies
Etymology: Latin scrutinium, from scrutari to search, examine, probably from scruta trash
Date: 1604
1 : a searching study, inquiry, or inspection : EXAMINATION
2 : a searching look
3 : close watch : SURVEILLANCE

I knew I'd not spelled it correctly...sorry

I come from the back room with Kaybar and Jaybar on either side of me. Their hackles begin to rise, "Ease down my companions, 'tis simply someone we have not met before. I am sure he means no one harm."

"What is all the commotion about that I was awakened? If there be people about someone should have gotten me, thou doth know that I would not leave without my chainmail, buckler and cloak hanging by the door. Or do you know someone else that wears an Irmin cloak with the Initial of DT in gold upon it? Laughing at the confusion of my appearance, I step behind the bar. "Pardon me, but I really need a drink. Mixing up a pitcher of Dragon's Fire with extra fire. I pour a flaggon of it and take it with me to the fire.

"I'm sorry that I can't join thee at the bar I mean no disrespect but I find the stools most uncomfortable for me. I will be by the fire. Putting another log on the fire I stoke it and sit down in a chair. Giving a low whistle Jaybar and Kaybar join me by the fire.

Jaybar finds his usual position on the hearth and lies down so that he can see everyone. Kaybar is a little nervous with having people behind him, but he soon settles down at my side.

Ah, the Fair Dragonhearted, would be so kind as to bless me with your presence by the fire? May I get you something to drink?

Aye Fair One they have some fantasttic hot chocolate here made with several different types of chocolate. Sit down on the couch. I pour a large cup of hot chocolate and reach for my cloak.

Handing you your hot chocolate, I put my Irmin cloak over you. "It is a bit cool and I don't want you to catch cold." Jaybar takes position and lies down in front of the couch in front of you. If you fall asleep and I need to leave I will leave you my cloak and Jaybar to protect you. Feel safe and fear not, Jaybar will let nothing happen to you."

I doth grow tired as well and may spend the night here in the room I usually do. It is a long journey home and the snow and cold outside doth chill my bones.

Waking up, I look over and see The Fair Dragonhearted fast asleep. This be such a lovely dragon. 'Tis time to put her to bed. I look in the room next to mine and see that it is empty almost an exact duplicate to where I will be sleeping. Putting logs on the fire, I lift my cloak from her and pick her up gently and carry her to the empty room resting her head on the pillow, and then covering her with furs. There is something about this Fair One thus the reason for the separate room.

Calling Jaybar, I call him up on the bed. He looks at me and then at the sleeping Dragonhearted and seems to understand immediately without words. He lies down resting his head upon her stomach. Not being able to lock the door, she will at least be safe with Jaybar by her side.

Going back to the bar I draw my sword and hang up my cloak. Kaybar following me to the room I am staying in lies down in the doorway to the room. The door left open. Removing my shsirt and boots, I crawl exhausted under the furs. Picking up my sword I place it in the middle of the bed with my right hand on the hilt. I know that no harm can happen to the Fair Dragonhearted this night. I slowly drift off to sleep.

Good morning everyone! Can't sleep.. again... so I thought I'd look around and see if anyone else is up...

Good Morning Boo!
I'm just about ready to leave for my drive to Maryland for that pesky meeting.
Wish it was a day of leasure cuz you are not the only one telling me about some great places to go while there...I've been to Harpers Ferry many times...Love that place as well...
Everyone have a great day..

Tamer, you need to make your way home in the evenings. Seem to be spending more nights here then in that castle of yours;)

Thanks

I do hope that the Fair Dragonette wasn't referring to my companions, they don't shed. Besides they are groomed twice a day.

Well, you say they don't shed!
Dragons don't really like cats, unless they are food!
Nice and crunchy, but the fur is a pain in my fangs, I so hate that.

The only one I like in here is Top Cat, he is small and a friend from ages.

I awake with the first rays of sunlight coming in the window, warm, cozy...and the sensation of something heavy on my tummy. I allow my eyes to drift down and see the massive head of Jaybar. Suddenly remembering last night's events, I realize I fell asleep here, but wondering how I got into this bed. hmmmmmmmmmmmm....but with Jaybar lying so cozily on my tummy, it could only mean one thing: Tamer is about. Not wanting to disturb the sleeping animal, I gently petted the massive head. His eyelids fluttered slightly as I did, but then I felt this vibration....and realized....Jaybar was purring. :)
