Does this idiotic list take into account all the vote rigging done by friends of writers, which elevates some of the crappiest stories I've ever read at Lit?

One of my stories ("Teaching Patti") was Number One on the Top Ten List (when there was a Top Ten List) for almost three years in a row. I should get "Emeritus" status for that, please. Or, at least, a bathrobe.

My review comes with mixed blessings for you, scourges. While, on the one hand, my having opened your story means you did rack up another "sale" on one of your submissions to this free site, on the other hand, my honest review can only reflect my genuine revulsion at what you, perhaps sarcastically, refer to as "one of these wonderful stories."

Enough of the preamble. On to my review of "Daddy," I Whispered.

I won't pick through, here, and point out the various grammatical errors, because, on a technical level, it wasn't as bad as some.

And I won't belabor the various incidences of slightly off imagery and phrasing, like the arching nipples.

In fact, I won't comment further, at all. I'll let an excerpt from your story speak for itself. Nothing I could say could show you in a worse light.

"Of course not Stef! It's just that you're a big girl now. You've become a woman honey," he stammered as I saw his cock rise from its resting place, lengthening relentlessly upwards against his stomach. "It's not right for you to sleep in your Daddy's bed. You shouldn't look at me honey when I'm naked," he insisted as he saw my eyes drift downward to the awakening giant.

"Even though I had a nightmare Daddy? I was so scared," I moaned fearfully.

Daddy couldn't stop himself from pulling me into his warm arms, couldn't stop himself from asking, "What was your bad dream about baby?"

It has often been noted by commentators here that you seem to have a fairly hazy cognizance of the rules of grammar, the ability to read and the meaning of monosyllabic words such as ‘sale’, ‘read’, ‘book’, ‘view’ and ‘click’.

As such, it comes as little surprise to me that you are completely incapable of understanding polysyllabic words.

‘Feedback’, originally a twentieth century neologism for the return of an electronic output as input, now also means;

Providing information about the nature of an action and its result in relation to some criterion of acceptability. It provides the flow of information back to a person so that actual performance can be compared with planned performance. Feedback can be positive, constructive, or neutral.

This forum is called ‘Story Feedback’ so that writers can ask for responses to their work. Story Feedback certainly does not mean egregious and unsolicited comments on any stories.

I realize your grasp on reality is ephemeral and, like many a crazed poison-pen writer, you can only cope if things are written in large capitals with gaudy primary colors.

If you wish to start a thread for reviewing other authors’ works, as I have said before, this would be appropriate in the AH forum – but not here.

There is also a ‘Story Discussion’ thread but I would advise you to give it a miss as I suspect you would find the level of discussion and degree of constructive respect considerably beyond you.

I'm not that concerned - that story was written in 2003. And despite the current decline it still carries a decent score.

But it certainly seems that any scouries press is bad news for the writer.

In any case, your analysis of your compiled list is flawed. Any good statician knows that correlation is just as easily negative as it is positive. You are not a good writer or a Lit favorite because you've got a lot of votes. You are a good writer or Lit favorite because people like your work. Constructive criticism is what I prefer. Holy cow...it's been ages since I've seen you on here. (Oh yeah...I used to go by the name Thesandman....(I remain, remember?) LOL. But couldn't agree more. Its funny, now that I write as Many Feathers, (though I haven't written a lot as of late) I don't think I'm even ranked anywhere any more...which is fine. Wasn't in it for that. All it does is list for our reading public those stories that have received the most votes.

There absolutely is a valuable lesson to learn, here. Write in the incest category, and you automatically get a jump on all authors writing in all other categories!

“Great,” as scouries uses the word, isn't synonymous with incest. But incest stories tend to be 'greater' than other categories of erotica. Hmmm...

So, it's quite a feat to make it among the scouries 'greats' without that leg-up from the incest category. Props to those who made it!

Perfect! To be fair, I'll take a closer look at one of the stories, because who knows? Maybe there really is more to the way the “greatest authors have managed to garner feedback.” And since scouries claims to have so much to offer his fellow authors, and is the one who repeatedly claims to be one of the literotica “greats” while putting down other writers and their efforts, he gets the honors.

Back to “Daddy,” I Whispered. I tried once before, but was so put off by a revoltingly racist passage in the opening scene (see post 281 in this thread), I had to take a break . This time, I stuck it out to the very end.

Well, let's hold off on our examination of the fine-grain details for a moment, and give the big picture a look.

Plot. Plot? Well, close enough. Eighteen-year-old Harvard med-school student lusts after Daddy, writhes against, rolls around naked in front of Daddy, and yes, seduces and fucks Daddy. And then they get married and have children. Three beautiful girls! A happy ending.

Characters. There are two. They have nice bodies, and a deep, irresistible, mutual desire to fuck the daylights out of each other, despite being father and daughter. He's a doctor who dotes on Daddy's little girl, and she, allegedly, is an eighteen-year-old who thinks about nothing but getting Daddy in the sack, talks like she's seven, and is about to skip college and go straight to med school.

The sex wasn't bad, I'll admit. You were a bit heavy-handed with the “full, firm breasts” and imagery in the realm of “distended gash,” and Daddy's “thick” “ropey” “white sauce,” but the sex was the best-realized portion of the story. Maybe that's the secret of “success,” scouries style.
