To follow the theme of the thread:
I love observing people, whether "in real life" or online. LTM that some folks use this place as a playground with no thought as to (or consideration for) the person on the other side of the screen. They treat compliments like tokens and people like slot machines, a cheap thrill to spice up the mundanity of their lives, hoping to hit the proverbial jackpot. Some would say it's a case of diminishing returns; that high ain't hitting the same and the dopamine wears off even faster, so they gotta find the next hit.

It's interesting seeing the patterns play out. Humans are humans, after all.
