Let’s have dinner!

Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies or sweet potato casserole. What’s yours?
Ohh both sound good! My favorite coffee shop in grad school had delicious pumpkin collate chip cookies.

I like Chinese food on Christmas or a good Christmas brunch with a little bit of everything. I don’t have as great a sweet tooth as I used to but I love to bake for other folks at the holidays

What do I do with the leftover ham? Tonight is chicken cordon Bleu. Tomorrow is scalloped potatoes topped this shredded cheddar. That leaves sandwiches for lunch on Sunday.

You just have a lot of leftover ham!
What about ham and cheese croissants? You can use crescent dough
I don't like ham really. But I try to keep holidays for my daughter as normal as possible. I bought as small of a ham as possible. I would just eat pecan pie and cheese and pickles if I had my way.

BBQ the ham. Put it in a slow cooker with some BBQ sauce and it is really good.

We finally tonight had the roast beef that was an option for Christmas dinner (we had lasagna instead). It came out pretty good! I take no credit, though, it was all my sister.

I was away and now I'm back! Still hoping if I ask questions, people will join in!

Do you have any food based 'resolutions' in the New Year?

I have two and they seem opposed but:

1. Cut back on calories (thanks, christmas chocolate)

2. Bake a lot of delicious cakes all year, and eat them all.

Do you have any?

OK I'm continuing to try to gain traction because I'm a masochist at heart...

Mid-week time. Do you partake in "little treat culture"? An example is finishing a work project and going to your favorite spot for their pistachio croissant and a cortado. Not that I'd do that. What is your little treat? Food, not people.
