Lit taught me...

Lit taught me (or helped, anyway) to just be myself and let the chips fall where they may. It's so much better to just be who you are than try to pretend so you can be "cool" or "popular."

I may not be everyone's cup of tea. Or anyone's really. But I'm real and comfortable in my own head. Most days.

Lit taught me that many people have it much worse than I do. When I complain about not having sex with my wife for weeks, I’ve learned that many have gone years and decades without the touch of their spouse. Not that it makes me feel better, just understood. And that I’m not alone or weird in my fantasies and desires.
Lit makes me feel more…normal.

Who's the arbiter of "cool", anyway? Being yourself is the ultimate way to go.

Lit has taught me there are some really varied tastes. Coming from a really small town I was really surprised when I first arrived here years ago. It also has me thinking, I’m more vanilla than I thought.
