RIP David Bowie.

Since I've been doing the show we haven't lost one as great as Bowie.

In his honor, I'm going to do a show tonight.

It'll start at 7.

If you have any requests, please let me know. All Bowie.

Can you post a link to the show, please?

Or better yet, can you post in girlsmiley's Bowie thread on the GB. Lots of big fans over there.

He may have been born a Brit....but he was the whole world.

...and every generation. I'd always heard his music growing up then he did his Berlin album and I was gobsmacked - so edgy, but I think that was his trademark. Love this one ( Stars are out tonight), but mainly 'cos it has Pejic in the vid ;) It made me smile at the time, still does, so that's a good enough excuse

very true....Berlin, America - he embraced and started so many genres. He was an acknowledged champion of black music in the US.

He was a great man.

Love that! That will be on the list

I remember when Space Oddity was out as a single. HUGE

Can't recall an impact like this since John Lennon

I said that to a friend of mine on FB

The link for the Bowie show tonight is the usual!

Go to Radio Lit then press the m3u button. I'll be playing tunes for a few hours tonight startingt at 7PM EST.

I had not realized, until today while looking/listening to his music on YouTube, that he had as many collaborations as he did.

I'll be playing Fame (Lennon), Under Pressure (Queen), and This Is Not America (Pat Metheny)

I also a great Dancing in the Streets with Mick Jagger. Another with Tina Turner and whole albums worth with Stevie Ray.

Not surprising, he was a good dancer too.
