Yep..ever see the rules on who can take communion? It's ridiculous. Letting people into your community and not letting them partake.


There's a huge crisis in the church which is logically and realistically easy to fix. Be more inclusive. Allow women in the clergy. Stop being anti everything.

Oh, you can take communion if you are divorced and living with a new partner. You just have to go to confession before and be sorry for having sex.

Sadly a lot of the "higher" echelons think they know best what is good for the catholic church.

You can't if you're gay or a fundamentalist Christian or a Jew or a Muslim or a Buddhist. You have be a member of certain sects of the Christianity.

I live in a parish where the priest says: "If nothing in your conscience hinders you from sharing in the communion, you are welcome to step forward."
 
So silly to think back on this now that I am older and wiser.
Can't we all just get along?:heart:

I haven't been to communion in 15 years since my divorce.
