Starry, mind if I ask about your tendon surgery?

I have an Achilles tendon problem. Surgery is simple but the recovery period is the problem.

Trying to decide if I want to live with the pain, take pain pills, or have the surgery.

Any advice?

both were a year commitment each
BEST thing I ever did but I have a special specialist who rebuilt them both from my own body. SO I don't deal with rejection meds or any strange people living inside me. the left was 5 casts & the right 7 casts total.

If you have insurance I had to go thru short term to long term disability with both.

Wow, mine isn't that complicated. Surgeon is talking about scrapping my heal to shave down some areas (not spurs) that are causing irritation on my right tendon. Pain meds help so there is no pain at all, but I don't like to take meds. Her treatment plan was hard cast for 6 weeks and no weight on it, soft cast for 6 weeks with limited weight, then up to a year of PT. No driving for 12 weeks due to cast on right foot.

Sounds like you'd recommend. I do have insurance for those kinds of coverage but I work in an office so I should not have to miss much work.

Thanks.:rose::rose::rose:

Heard this on the radio earlier today. I can't understand why they aren't in the R&R Hall of Fame.

The left one was a ping - ping - ping things and the right was a hard complete snap but I had to walk on it for over 6 months before Medicare would allow me to have medial coverage. Then it took 6 weeks to get into see my leg guy.

Do you know who is the richest person in the music business?

It isn't Dr. Dre or Paul McCartney.

It is Andrew Lloyd Weber. He is worth over $1B.

I saw that!

i have a friend who is on B-Way, he won a Tony. He told me that whenever the show plays no matter where, he gets a royalty check. ALW has done so many things that I can imagine he's still getting a bunch of residual income.

The casts were 1st & last walking casts, soft surgery casts 2 weeks & hard casts in between

But the rest sounds right. The Achilles were SO much easier then my shoulder has ever been.
Now that I torn up the left one I am worried about that needing surgery next.

Well I almost made it thru the holidays with out getting my ass chewed out.
My Dad came on the phone to bitch me out for emailing pictures to my Mom on Christmas.
Apparently they have still have dial up & the files were bigger then he wanted them to be.
