The regular font on Lit pages seems to be Verdana 12pt, and I can't detect any stylesheet references that would muck that up. But what I want to know is, how much HTML can I put in my submissions? What I'd want to do it to make a poem with a fixed typeface, starting like this:

i
am
god
of a
reign
a rain
of mind

...and so on. Adding one character per line. Now, it looks cool with Courier, but it looks really terrible with Verdana or any other non-fixed font.

Can I just insert my html font-tag and be happy with that? I've never seen any other than the normal lit standard font, so I thought I'd ask around first, before bothering Laurel with my dumb Qs.

Hi, Liar.

There used to be possible, and Senna has a number of poems with fixed width fonts, but not anymore. It screws up the submission form, apparently.

The only HTML tags that are safe to use are
<i> </i>
<b> </i>
<u> </u>
<center> </center>
&nbsp;

You can always submit a screen-shot of whatever you want as an illustrated poem, though, or PM Laurel to see if you can get an exemption from the rules. ;)

Damn.

It was my STC idea for word drops. I'll ask Laurel, but I'll bet whichever way I go that it won't be up on tuesday then. If push comes to shove, I'll just post it here where I can do things like this instead.
