heard they did a good deed and offered him any counseling/mental health stuff he wants which was cool.Don't even know if they would have won the game! But I know that was a terrible way to end a fantastic game! I replay it in my head less than I do Joe Carter's 1993 home run (though, to be fair, I was 11 then), but it still haunts me currently.
I actually think Philly fans will be good to him. While ruthless, they understand the human element. Once they are done being mad, they'll be there for him. I'm confident he'll get a standing ovation in his first appearance next year!
Giving up a homerun like...uh...Mitch Williams...did to end the series sucks but...home runs are hit daily. It happens, just sucks it happened to you and at the worst possible time etc.
But ending a season on a really bad decision and error, thats tough to reconcile!
