They are pretty nice tool to control a slave, but when it comes to extended use,
does anyone have experience with prolonged usage of clover clamps (like 30-60 mins)?

Thanks for the answers!

I have them on the wife for a few hours while out to dinner. They hurt at first but then she gets her to them.

She has no complaints with them. She has worn them for years so guess she just got use to them. She does ask if she can remove them after we get home and put on a more adjustable set. That set she wears all day!

Look - this guy is clearly a liar. Clamps will obviously stop circulation, and prolonged use will obviously cause tissue damage and other problems.

Please don't ask serious questions on a board driven almost entirely by fantasies. For gods sake, please don't ask anything here, then go out and do it IRL. This board is NOT a source of information.

I can’t handle them for more than 5 minutes; my nipples are super sensitive and a little pressure goes a long long way. It is my understanding that they should not be used for more than 30 minutes to prevent causing real harm.

I have had them on for a max of 20 minutes so far, and I think thats almost too long, hurts like a bastard when they come off!

We are not all equally susceptible to pain. I could see cases where extended wear does not result in excessive pain.

But that doesn't mean that damage isn't being done. That's a continual problem with people who have a high threshold of pain. These people have to be extra careful, because they could hurt themselves badly without realizing it.

I'm making a distinction here between "threshold of pain," the point where a person is conscious of pain, and "tolerance for pain," where the person feels pain but can withstand it with greater success. There's a HUGE difference.

A person I knew used to smoke non-filtered cigarettes, and would always be burning her fingers because they'd burn down to the point where they'd start to burn her, and she wouldn't know it until too late.

Everybody is different. It all depends on how your body reacts to things. When you pinch those clips together, you are forcing the blood out of the skin and other tissue. It will hurt at first, but then the area goes numb, and you own't feel it again, until the clips are taken off and the blood rushes back into the area.

Because everybody is different, you'll have to decide for yourself if any amount of time is too much, or OK. And repeated use might be something to think about, too. I know people who are really into TENS unit use, and sometimes it can be too much.

An electrical device takes the moisture out of the skin. Sure, the body recovers pretty well, but it can take time. And the more often you repeat this, the more time the body takes to recover. If you do it too often, there probably will be a time when the body doesn't totally recover like it once did.

The same could be said about clamps and how long you leave them attached. The trick is knowing how well your body recovers from them being on. At first, it will be very quick, I'm sure. But, as time goes on, you'll need to make sure to watch how fast it recovers with repeated use.

A lot of the enjoyment of wearing the clamps is the pain of the blood rushing back into the area, after they are removed. If the time comes when that area gets so damaged from the clamps that blood doesn't rush back like it did in the beginning, you are not only damaging your body, you are lessening your fun.

Take breaks from this, now and then. Trust me, after the break, you'll be thrilled how much fun it is to go back to playing again.

not prolonged use, because my love can't stand that pressure more than a few minutes at a time. She has very sensitive nipples. Let it be said, though, that those few minutes at the end when everything is most intense is a pleasure for her not to be missed, she loves it...

thanks for asking the question...

Write Dan Savage for a question like this. There’s also a healthcare provider group on fetlife where you can get more reliable medical advice. Clamps are things that will cause lasting damage and I don’t believe anyone has them on for hours who doesn’t already have nerve damage.

This board is great for a bit of fun, interact with people in the scene maybe meet a new online friend... it’s a lousy place for medical advice.

Almost every one in the thread has said something along the lines of not recommending extended wear/use. All but one, in fact, and the “my wife wears them for hours and hours” guy seems more like he’s living in fantasy land.

I was probably being redundant. In the highly unlikely event this woman is wearing these for hours, I’m guessing she’s adjusting the tension or sabotaging them in some way. Also, I understand the aesthetic of fancy nipple clamps, but if I were blindfolded I’m not sure I could tell the difference between some of the better clothespins or a lovely bejeweled clamp. And if you’re doing it right they would only adorn your tits for a short time.

Save the money for the chains and whips!

I have played with different styles of nipple clamps for years.
I consider myself pretty tough when it comes to my nipples.
The longest I can stand to have regular clover clamps on is about 20 minutes, when I take them off,,,, hurts like a BITCH.

As with most things it depends on the person. But being clamped doesn’t increase circulation it cuts it off. We try to limit clamping to around 30 minutes or so.
