Last Movie You Watched - Part II

I can't remember, but I watched Dune recently. It was fair, very well made, but not as quotable like the first film. Will definitely check the sequel out.

I read the book many years ago and loved it. Then I saw the first movie and it was crap. I am looking forward to seeing the newest one.

I think you are going to love this one. It's very, very good.
It was a bit short for me, but I loved it.

I started to read the book yesterday. I'm on chapter 6 and I'm loving every single page. Just WOW!

I heard that they are going to make a Part 2 of the new one.

Yeah but I needed more time with some characters, like Duke Leto, and the setting and building up of the story. The scheming and machinations, the personal relationships, and Paul's struggle. Also, there was a scene (Reverend Mother and Gom Jabbar) that in the movie was a bit too vague, for which the book gave me the full answer from the get go. The motivation in the movie is different from the book, and I think it was because of time constrains.

In any case, it was a great scene. The set design, the costumes, the mood and the acting was top notch. Charlotte Rampling is perfect as the reverend mother. All the actors are perfect really. I really do hope they release an Extended version, like the LOTR trilogy.

There is so much scope and detail in the book it is a monumental task to get on film. From your description it sounds like a great version. I am looking forward to watching it:)

Yeah, I know. Sigh.
I'm a demanding woman, what can I say?! :rolleyes::D

Enjoy it. :)

I'm trying to watch "The Blair Witch Project" because I have never seen it. I'm bored and it's not intriguing me.

One of the Star Wars prequels. I don't know which one, they are all the same. Too much CGI, not enough story, characters without so much as a single atom of charisma.

Ben

Saw "The French Dispatch" yesterday. First movie in the theater in probably two years

Princess Bride and Young Frankenstein, a chilly Sunday relaxation.

btw....having Mark Knopfler score the movie was brilliant.
