I am sure those of you you have felt the wrath of the two lovebirds are not losing any sleep over it. I know I am not. I have been gifted with several nasty PMs from the loquacious Dream in the past, when she was in love with Artful. I just dumped them. I pride myself on the fact that I have never sent her a PM and never will. PMs are reserved for people who matter.

I have had ~Dream~ on ignore since October. Right after Ebonyfire told me of Art's passing, I took her off and lo and behold there were 5 PMs from her that had been sitting behind the ignore function since October.

I deleted them without reading. Discovering those at the same time as the news of Art's passing was not a good thing and something I chose not to deal with.

~Dream~ is not a well person.

When QD asked me the question at the beginning of this thread last nite, I wondered why he hadn't sent me a PM, but posted anyway, figuring the news was well-known and old hat....and that the thread would sink away fairly quickly as a result.

As I said at the time, I don't know if it's true....I read it in a couple of threads a week or two ago and thought it was. I think I made that clear.

I've had her on ignore for some time now, so no, I wasn't PMing with her and receive no messages from her as a result.

Since being pointed by a BDSM Forum friend to her pic thread a month or two ago, I've felt remorse for ever having argued with her or having played any role in ever agitating her over anything.

She's a single mom with several kids who has a full plate of life challenges as far as I can tell.

Though I find her functionally impossible to communicate with, I do hope she's well and whatever her situation is I hope it turns out okay for her.

And for my part in having responded to the original question at all, I'm very sorry.

I'm sure QuickDuck didn't intend for this thread to be this way.

Lance just posted that it wasn't his intention either.

I stepped up and let people know that it was just a rumor at this point. I also provided some information on Dream that she has posted here.

Personally, I think Lance's description of her is way too kind. She manipulates people by playing on their emotions, which I find to be rather distasteful. Chances are, I wouldn't have included the information about her but I was extremely disgusted with the self-serving and vile behavior she demonstrated after Artul's death. I chose not to speak out against it on the threads that were honoring him, as I didn't feel that it was right. But my anger at her disgraceful behavior needed an outlet, and this was the one I chose.

Was it one of my more shining moments - not by a long shot. Do I regret it, well to be honest I don't. I regret Dracoa being hurt by anything he read here or that others said about him, but I think that is only a drop in the bucket compared to what is waiting down the road for him.

However, I am accountable for my part and I do stand by what I posted here. Those that know me well know that I do not post like this lightly, and if anyone wants to think less of me for doing it, then that is a consequence that I am willing to accept.

So, to answer your original question of was all this necessary, the answer is no, it wasn't necessary. Was it a reaction to her behavior on these boards? Yes, it was. Does that make it right? No, it doesn't. But it was long overdue in my mind.

Ok I made a few mistakes here.

1) I asked publically.

I am not a big PM sender and so it didn;t actually occur to me to ask Lance via PM.

I have PMed him before on other topics, and probably should have done so in this case since it would have saved a friend of mine (Dracoa), a bit of grief and agro.

2) I made a very derogatory remark in my original post which i have apologised for both on this thread and in PM. It was uncalled for.

Dracoa, i am sorry the thread went in this direction although i must admitt to being in a callous and pissed off mood when i originally posted which lead to my "cynical" first post (I think thats the right word).

Yes, she is.

However, I have to disagree with her. Anyone who takes lit so seriously that it places them at risk, really needs an extended lit break.

I hope Dream gets what she needs to get through whatever she is going through, but really don't believe lit is culpable for her welfare.
