The full apology will be shown on Late Night with David Letterman, tonight.wazhazhe said:Richards is supposed to be on CBS News in a few minutes.
That's not fair. I'm offensive and racist the whole time and that cunt Letterman has never asked me to be on his show.wazhazhe said:The full apology will be shown on Late Night with David Letterman, tonight.

respectfully disagree. Borat is an act demonstrating the ignorance in our society...Michael Richards wasn't acting....._geisha_ said:Borat and this incident are both offensive, one isn't more than another. What is offensive is that people are saying it's not offensive.
I don't care what venue it happens in, calling someone a nigger isn't funny. It's not going to be funny. There's nothing remotely funny about it.
Now that I've said my piece, flame away, I'm going for potato soup.
and Borat sucksphrodeau said:Borat was more offensive.
the offense is in the enjoyment of borat, in Richard's case, it's the act alone.KravMaga said:respectfully disagree. Borat is an act demonstrating the ignorance in our society...Michael Richards wasn't acting.....
true but how is it different when black comics and rappers use the same word? Ive heard the argument "its used artistically" ,which is bs.KravMaga said:respectfully disagree. Borat is an act demonstrating the ignorance in our society...Michael Richards wasn't acting.....
I think looking at Sasha Cohen's act in such a small dose might not give the best exposure to what he does...in one vignette he goes into a bar in what must be Texas and within a few minutes of an open mike night he has everybody echoing an antisemetic song.....was it offfensive? probably to the crackers who got caught singing what they thought...did it offend me no...it helped me understand what goes on in other people's minds a bit...that's the good thing about free speach.....how's that potato soup...._geisha_ said:the offense is in the enjoyment of borat, in Richard's case, it's the act alone.
I saw borat on myspace once, and I wondered what it was. Not a single moment of that stupidity was humorous to me, and I wonder what everyone else sees in it.

truth be told...i haven't read it .... i saw you were here and sauntered over to the end....._geisha_ said:also, can I sa y, I think it's very very funny that Clairebutterfly has openly said the very same thing that Marksgirl did, yet no one is roasting her racist ass over the coals.
Maybe cause she's hot?
I think that African Americans have earned the right to call themselves what they want.....if I want to call one of my friends kikey kikeman then even though to me it sounds stupid, i can do it...it is not about standards it is about context and common sense and sensitivity....DV81 said:true but how is it different when black comics and rappers use the same word? so racism is ok if its within the same race.KravMaga said:I think that African Americans have earned the right to call themselves what they want.....if I want to call one of my friends kikey kikeman then even though to me it sounds stupid, i can do it...it is not about standards it is about context and common sense and sensitivity....

I think anybody can call someone else anything they want. When the person who's being called that name says 'hey that offends me.' That's when it should stop.KravMaga said:I think that African Americans have earned the right to call themselves what they want.....if I want to call one of my friends kikey kikeman then even though to me it sounds stupid, i can do it...it is not about standards it is about context and common sense and sensitivity....
I myself chuckled at that sentiment.Pseudomoniker said:Now *that's* funny.
