Google knots.

Oh, yeah. Bing shows 53,900,000 hits for "knots" and Google probably has even more.

Still, if you really want a book on the subject, one of the most comprehensive is ENCYCLOPEDIA OF KNOTS AND FANCY ROPE WORK, FOURTH EDITION REVISED, By R. Graumont & J. Hensel.
(Where else can you learn how to tie a "modified reverse zeppelin retainer"?)

I my self fish and hunt so snars and most knots i understand but with any form of "play" that could maim or kill i want to understand it in full. If my sub gos blue in the face because i fucked up all of the knots makeing a complex nouse not only have i kill some one but i have failed as a Dom to put there safty first. Sorry if i piss of any one, but i think that makes sense?

He said that was his term for Web Search Engines.
If I, English being my third language could get it, then you should have too

I've been involved in bondage play for a hell of a long time.

Here is my #1 rule. Nothing, absolutely NOTHING goes around my subs throat with the exception of her collar and even then I am damn careful of what I attach to it and how.

#2. When playing with rope, string, cord, scarfs etc. make sure you have at least a pair of EMT scissors at hand not in the bottom of a bag some where. I always keep two on the night stand where we play.

EMT scissors are pretty inexpensive only a very few dollars through Amazon.

See i would have never thought of that... A knife maybe. And that seems smart and a good rule thank you. Now i will never endager my sub by putting the rope around her neck, I mean if some one who has been in the game wont..... I had bettter F$%/ing not.

You might think search engines are moronic, but I've learned a ton by googling things like 'bondage tutorials' in the past. There are sites that clearly explain bondage basics, knot tying and advanced techniques. There are even YouTube videos by Two Knotty Boys that are held in pretty high esteem in the kink community.

One good rule of thumb is to avoid self-tightening knots.

Yup to what I've bolded.

Search engines are only as good/effective as the people entering the search terms. Someone who doesn't have a strong grasp of how to refine keywords or narrow his or her search in other ways will struggle to find quality information. I cover effective search engine and library catalog search techniques in my introductory research writing classes, but I still have students who can't (or won't) properly refine their searches.

Yup, I knew someone in grad school who couldn't grasp the concept of Boolean operands. She Yahoo'd "John Updike" and was surprised when she got something like 22 million hits--and insisted on reading them all, calling it "research." It's been about 20 years now, so she's probably 5% of the way to writing her dissertation.

Dude, no one has browbeaten you. People have posted good advice, links directly to helpful info, and I gave you the exact term you could google to find what you're looking for.

Eilan and Edward were simply commenting on how surprising it is that many people don't know how to use search engines. Their comments weren't directed at you specifically. If you don't like what they, or anyone else, have said, just ignore it, rather than launching personal attacks that make you look like an ungrateful idiot.

I'd suggest taking the advice you've received and running. Or check out the resources people have generously pointed you to and then coming back with more specific questions and a different attitude. Maybe you'd do well to observe the BDSM talk forum and search for bondage advice threads there. I don't suggest posting in BDSM, here, or most of the other forums unless/until you get rid of your shitty attitude and pay attention to how your posts come across, both in terms of content and legibility (i.e. spelling and grammar). If you don't want honest advice and/or would prefer sugary sweet fluff because you tend to be sensitive or whatever, stick to The Playground forum and AmPics.

Take my advice or don't take it, but each forum has its own culture and norms, so it behooves everyone here to take time to observe before posting, try to follow those norms, be able to ignore posts they don't care for, learn how to research, and do their best to read and write legibly with an open mind.

Read for comprehension, brah. If you were smart enough to know how to search, you wouldn't be wading through bullshit.

Just trying to give you some "real knolage." :)

Apology accepted.

Doesn't your phone give suggested spellings? Even my rather crappy phone does that, as well as recognize much of my speech. Particularly for someone who has learning disabilities (like my husband), those features can be invaluable.

No well my spelling is so bad that i spend half my time looking up word. As well I brake in horese at the ranch I work at so some head trama helps. Even yet my I.Q. is164. (I do understand it's not realy a exact grade on itnelect but...) Still i have a twang that my dorid seems to think is not human so no its just my brain right now. Still I wish to express regret ( cant spell apoligse...:/) that i lost my temper. One can really only hear ones oune voice in ones head so...... Im am Deeply sorry Eilan, nakdsub, as well as any one whom I may have wronged.
