it's good to see ya. I know it's tough playing against a couple of hoodlums who don't exist even in vr, sort of like talking to yourself and that can get you in BIG trouble. Heres an idea! I guess us being together will allow us to interact ... assuming she regains consciousness soon.

As to the Jo/daddy reference ... Graybread ... how do you want to play that ... they're obviously "close" ... there's aggro with the wife ... but daddy does have a Mistress ... or Mistresses ...

Is he just a devoted daddy or ... have their been any other ways that JoJo has been a good girl for daddy??

I am posting this here, as you guys are the group I had in mid for playing along with this

When I was a little girl; before my parents moved to CT we lived in a small township in York Co Maine, called Cornish. Cornish is absolutely beautiful. Sitting in the foothills of New Hampshire's White Mountains midway between Mount Washington And Portland. Cornish today is still very much a quiet little town, still beautiful, full of antique and local craft shops and very popular with hikers and tourists who want to just get away from the Cities for relaxation.

They say the place you are born in stays with you all your life, drawing you back like a magnet. I find that very much so, always in my mind the childhood memories of those beautiful mornings, sunset over the white mountains and into in the Sacopee valley, the word “Sacopee” comes from Saco and Ossipee, which are the two major rivers that flow along the borders. Spending time n the numerous lakes and ponds.

To the east of course there is Portland about 20miles or so. I always get asked if I know Portland, I sometime think that people think Portland is the only city in Maine and a little bit further down to the southeast, about 30 miles from Cornish there is the beautiful Old Orchard Beach, quite possibly the most popular beach in New England, certainly in Maine and definitely the oldest tourist attraction with a history you wouldn’t believe.

Old Orchard Beach holds my most cherished childhood memories, spent with my brothers, my Mom and Pop and though it has changed somewhat over the last 20 years I am sure it is a beautiful now as it was then.

Why am I rambling so – what has this to do with an SRP thread, well I wanted to share some background about a real place that has a special place in my heart and where this story is set. The location of course is not necessarily important to many but most people that write, I think, draw on personal experiences and places.

This story is about a young couple that have moved from the busy city life of the Tristate area to try their hands at running a boarding house on the outskirts of Old Orchard Beach. The house is in need of a lot of renovation but that’s not a problem for our brave couple as they have both come from highly successful city jobs and have made more than enough money to cover the costs of their new venture and more. But what they don’t realise is that in acquiring the old Victorian ‘Orchard View’ boarding house, they have bought a couple of restless spirits. Something the Reality Company kept quiet about.

I shall be playing the role of Maria St John, one of the restless spirits, the additional roles for this play are My spectral husband Edward St John and of course the intrepid couple who are newly married and just starting out on their new adventure are up for grabs. Possibly even a maid and groundsman if their are sufficient numbers.

This is intended to be an easy going thread, not one where posts are required daily but one where. out of courteousy. the story is kept moving at a reasonable pace. I appreciate that everyone has RL commitments and situations that limit their time here.

If you are interested then please PM me – after that I will post the opening accordingly, and it will naturally be full of fluffy history and background stuff mostly about the house the spooks and the area .

Oh the thread will be entitled 'Old Orchard Beach' when it kicks off

Should be real interesting watching the new couple arrive. Hell we can even help them decorate trying not to interfer to much with the paint and stuff.

I think there is also scope for a housemaid and a groundsmans, as the house is very large and the garden extensive so if May or any of the others here, that haven't alread joined up wish to take on a role that's fine with me. You can make your participation as involved or as complicated as you wish.

Should I start an OOC for the Orchard, I think that might be a courteous idea. instead of trolling in this one

Prom2: Given that DF has alot on his hands with both Suzie and Joanne to contend with, and as Prom2 indicates--Brady's are empty, I will sneak away and run into Brady. Sorry DM! I'll end up having to make a choice between saving my own hide or both of ours, but of course rich bitch will look after herself first. Of course running into Brady may only mean my return to the cabin...who knows!

We seem to have a poster who jumped in to intercept May's character.
In the absence of our originator I jumped in and directed him to the OOC here and asked for him to plan a character here if he wished to join us.

I hope that's ok with everyone.

I hope he'll edit to change his character or after planning ourselves out of the dilemma of getting May's character involved and with Bray, I suggest we write around if not.

I believe it might be difficult for Prom2 to get here to post on the weekend...so it's good that you could correct the situation before it got out of hand.

In the meantime, I'm all for others joining the thread (as you've mentioned) by coming here first to see how they might work a character in.

gb: if you're still interested, your daughter needs you, The story has just hit the papers and there have been rumors that the police bothced it. Maybe you want to take matters into your hands, a phone call to the local police deptartment might give you the information you need to learn about her whereabouts ...or maybe you're working on a diferent angle,

Or want to wait for Brady to get her back. It may take a while though, remember Brady plays it from both ends you might have to end up paying the ransom. He's still got his mind set on Rio and could use a few hundred more grand to live the lifestyle he thinks he could get real comfortable with. Maybe he can tke the redhead with him.
