Sorry, couldn't resist...I was getting so bummed reading all the war threads, I had to post something to make you smile. Don't you just love all his movies? Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back...Loooooooooove them all!
Doesn't hurt that Jason Lee is fucking HOT too!
"Now that's what I call a shared moment"!

Kevin Smith was a talented and funny guy.
Sad that he is no longer on this Earth.

Sorry, I thought that this thread was about the Kevin Smith that played, among other things, the roll of Ares on Xena and Hercules. Now there was a GOD!. May he rest in peace, we all thought that he was THE MAN! Awsome actor and just all around great guy. I was thinking of him because Riverworld was on tonight. His swansong. A tribute!

Jason Lee was the best thing in Chasing Amy... and thats saying alot because I really loved the whole movie... even Ben Affleck's acting didn't bother me...

Just an avid View Askew fan offering up a memorable quote...

[Randal is on the phone when a woman and little girl come to the counter.]
Woman with daughter: Excuse me, do you sell videos?
Randal Graves: Yeah, what're you looking for?
Woman with daughter: Happy Scrappy Hero Pup.
Randal Graves: Okay, hang on, I'm on the phone with the distribution house now, lemme make sure we got it. What was it called again?
Woman with daughter: Happy Scrappy Hero Pup.
Daughter: Happy Scrappy...
Woman with Daughter: She loves it.
Randal Graves: Obviously. Yeah, hello, this is RST Video, customer number 4352, I need to place an order. Okay, I need one each of the following tapes: "Whispers in the Wind", "To Each His Own", "Put It Where It Doesn't Belong", "My Pipes Need Cleaning", "All Tit-Fucking Volume 8", "I Need Your Cock", "Ass-Worshipping Rim-Jobbers", "My Cunt Needs Shafts", "Cum Clean", "Cum-Gargling Naked Sluts", "Cum Buns III", "Cumming in Socks", "Cum On Eileen", "Huge Black Cocks and Pearly White Cum", "Men Alone II: the KY Connection", "Pink Pussy Lips", and, uh, oh yeah, "All Holes Filled with Hard Cock". Uh-huh...yeah...Oh, wait, and, what was that called again?

Man, now I have a jones to watch "Clerks"

I have a weird thing for girls who say 'aboot.'

Snoochie Boochies.

37?!

Kevin Smith is indeed a god among men. I can [pathetically] recite almost all of Chasing Amy.

Saddly Kevin Smith is gone

he was a great actor I liked him in Xena as Ares the humor he brough to the role was great I don't think another actor could have done it the same way

Chasing Amy is my favorite of his movies, although Dogma is a really, really close second! And yes, I too, can recite both movies almost word for word, I've seen them so many times!

The lead guy from Clerks was the "star" in this one too. I think he's regressing as an actor.

That's probably crappy direction more than anything else.

Anyone know when "Jersey Girl" is coming out? I saw Kevin Smith on Leno a few months ago, talking all about it, and I haven't heard another word....anyone?

On the subject of "Jersey Girl"

I just the official View Askew Website and there isn't a release date posted yet.

However there was this poster promoting the flick...

I really want to see it, even though I'm so sick of Ben Affleck and J-lo that I could hurl!

I know man. I don't care for either of them, but I'll probably go see it anyway.

Misunderstanding

It was my understanding that Kevin Smith the director and comic shop owner wasn't God but actually his ghostwriter for that terribly droll one act play written in Hebrew......As to the other Kevin Smith perhaps he entered a witness protection program and now is happily employed as a waitress somewhere in New Jersey, gender reassignment surgury done at taxpayer expense of course .....

I soo agree havent seen chasin amy thought but seen the others...
