What an awsome idea Windpoet, Im not in the miiltary now, but did serve over 20 years. With that said, the other day I had the honor of watching a group of young men and ladies leaving for the middle east. even though I have been through the same thing more times that I would want to count, for some reason this time really tugged at my heart. Watching these young folks and their famies saying good bye, just a few days before thanksgiving was really something.

Folks, it does not matter what you feel about this war, but these men and women who have been sent to fight for us are really something. If you get a chance remember them in your prayers, they really are the best .

And for those of you who are now serving...Thank you...

I've enlisted in the Army in July. This Thanksgiving was more about being with family and being thanksful for everything I have, because it is going to be the last thanksgiving I get to spend with them for a while. X-Mas is going to be tough for me.
