Ok so I'm looking for a little advice from any domestic Gods and Goddesses out there in Lit land.
I have begun to squirt in quite shocking amounts recently, while this pleases Sir very much it obviously has practical issues like sodden mattress= nowhere to sleep. Now I'm not talking little damp patches on the bed covers, but enough to soak through the duvet, sheets under blanket and leave the wadding on the mattress soaked. I've tried laying towels down but sometimes this just isn't enough and also tried putting a mattress protector on the bed but they make horrible plastic noises all night and also make you sweat.
So is there anyone who has had this problem and overcome it without the horrible plastic sheet?

Well the first thought I had was a tarp you lay on the bed before you do anything. Though of course those are rather uncomfortable and don't allow for the toss you down and go to town frisky moments.

So then I am thinking, why not have a different bed for those purposes, except not really a bed more like a duvet or one of those leather bag seats. Hmmm perhaps best to not use a leather one with your squirting but you get the idea. ;)

The last thought I have is not the most practical, but why not use the protector cover that you have and take it off when you go to sleep. Since you apparently produce alot of excess fluids when you have sex you I assume have to clean the bed before sleep anyway. ;)

All I have perhaps I will come back later with more thoughts, though not likely I think I covered everything. :catroar:

Try using towels plus a thick fleece mat under the towel. Fleece is great at holding back liquid, so it can give the towel to soak it back up into the towel.

Something like this thing.

You could try the old midwive's trick for birthing at home (a rather damp process ;) ), and double/triple sheet the bed.

Make the bed with your normal mattress pad/fitted sheet, lay down a plastic shower curtain (or thin plastic drop cloth for painting- less noisy), top with a fitted sheet, lay down a second waterproof barrier, and top with a sheet. The extra layers of fabric should help a bit with the "plastic noises" as the fitted sheets will be really snug; when you're done for the evening, strip the top sheet, throw away the cheap waterproof barrier, and snuggle up on the dry sheet. The reson for two waterproof barriers is so that you have a dry bed in the end, even if there are multiple umm... damp situations over the course of the evening.

Another option is to look for a bed sized waterproof mattress pad made from wool (usually organic, most likely found online). They tend to be really expensive, but the natural fibers in the wool work as a good water barrier. You will need to air it out/wash it carefully to not strip the natural lanolin (which makes it waterproof) out of the wool, but it *should* last for a very long time if properly cared for, and you won't have to deal with any plastic noises.

You could get some of the waterproof, absorbent pads used in hospitals and such from a medical supply. They're basically a very thin layer of plastic with a soft, absorbent layer on top. They also have those pads for puppy potty training, and I think they're fairly similar to the hospital ones, but can't be sure. However, some might find these solutions too clinical or generally unappealing.

There are also quite a few waterproof blankets and throws on the market. The makers of the Liberator pillows have a sex blanket if you don't mind spending $85, and there are several similar sex-focused products on the market.

I might be inclined to try a Neat Sheet under a flat sheet first. I've found them to be very water resistant and hold up well to repeated washings. Plus, they're inexpensive and disposable. I wouldn't count on it to be waterproof or allow a puddle to sit on it for a long time, but I'd imagine it'd take quite a while to soak through.

My first response if you were my wife would be to lick up every drop of that precious nectar. What we do is lay a comforter down on the bed before the festivities begin. That way the sheets stay dry, you still have a comfortable place to lay and play, and you only have one blanket to wash. Whoever said being under the covers was any better than being on top of them anyway? I hope this helps but whatever you do, don't try to stop the wonderful gift you have. Sweet (dry) dreams.

Thank you to all of you, for your replies. I have to admit I was a little worried about posting this as I was a little afraid of a sudden influx of HNG PM's.

All of your suggestions are good starting points except, heyrocky it would be completely impossible for Sir to consume the lot

I've tried a couple of the ideas already, fleeces are not as waterproof as they say although they do soak up a fair amount, we also have waterproof picnic blankets, which do the trick as they are woolen but they don't last too long after being washed as the waterproof underside is almost like the fabric they use to make cheap PVC gazebos.

I'm really loving the idea of the sex blanket Sweet Erika, although quite expensive cheaper than an new mattress. It never occurred to me that someone may have come up with a solution to my problem. I guess I thought I was in a minority and therefore no commercial solution would have been out there. Wonder what the internal sheet is made of might be more prudent to make my own.
CM might try the triple sheeting until I source a decent throw in the UK.

Thanks once again Lit Gods and Goddesses, I knew if I could get a sensible answer anywhere it would be the good people of Lit :rose:

I've never gotten one but, dont they sell waterproof mattress pads? Not the plastic kind but real cloth? I've often thought of getting one too, our sheets tend to be a huge mess as well.

I work at a hospital and have often considered taking some of the "pink pads/chux" they are cloth and water proof/absorbent and washable, wonder what excuse I could use? :)

Something that might be a little more general would be one of those big air matresses that are great for camping, one side is usually plastic/ rubberlike while the other is something else, not quite sure. You could just unfold it (not inflated) and then cover it with a regular sheet. Shouldn't be too uncomfortable or loud and should be easy to clean.

How about an inflatable wading pool for kids? Put it on the floor on top of a foam pad, put pillows or bean-bag chairs around the perimeter, and make as much mess as you want. Then post the jpg.'s here.

Oh no. You're not in the minority. If you are, then I am too. I have the exact same problem, but am lacking sufficient funds to remedy it by purchasing anything extra. I guess I have to stick with a couple layers of towels and hope that helps.

Edit: I do like yogiforlife's suggestion and oddly enough, I do have an inflatable mattress, even though I've never used it. I might try inflating it sometime and see if that helps any. At the very least it would mean that I wouldn't have to clean up my bed; all the mess would be on the inflatable mattress.

Let me know how that goes KokopelliRises, as it seems infinitely cheaper than the sex blanket - although admittedly I rather like the blanket as I can leave it on the bed as an innocent, if opulent looking throw.

Thanks again good people. :rose:

I looked at the Liberator site and they have a special going until Aug 14

Here is the sale info:

I have this same problem! We use a waterproof pad that came from the hospital. It's made of cloth and is not uncomfortable at all. It catches all of it and then I only have one thing to wash instead of all of the sheets. I can't stand those plastic mattress protectors, they are noisy and hot.

I can't remember if it was at Target or Wal-Mart, but a picnic blanket is wonderful. It is soft like a thin blanket but is "water-resistant". While I doubt you could pour a bottle of water on it, it keeps water off the bed. We use them during ice and wax play without having to swap sheets.
look for them--they are WONDERFUL!

Shy, they have a UK site. Here's the throe page: http://www.theliberator.co.uk/products_fascinatorthroe_shag.php

It's 48 pounds.
Thanks for that Erika; with the exchange rate being so good (for me anyway) I could get the 6 products for $69 for approximatly £34- quite a saving on the £48 for just the sheet. But once you take into account postage/ shipping costs - and whether you have to declare what it is in your parcel, I don't know if it is still worth it. This is what I was really asking for advice on.
