prejudices and racial biases suck, always always always. i understand the feeling of wanting payback for being treated like shit, but what kills me is the effect that payback has on the concept of justice. the oj simpson trial comes to mind.
if we want true equality, then justice needs to be as blind as possible, as fair as possible. judges and juries shouldn't be in the position to make up lost ground, at least in my opinion.

We gotta do what we gotta do for justice. I understand perfectly that justice is not going to feel fair for those on the losing side of the scale. I know that. I'm prepared for that in this case, been so since jump street because I know how America can be.

Whichever way the wind blows here, I'm sticking up for the verity of what happened that night. And the verity is that a 100% red-blooded American boy got killed for something he shouldn't have been killed for. He should be alive right now. I don't CARE if he had a different style from me or if I disagree with his personal whatevers, he did not need to be slain.

God didn't take him away that day, the stupidity of humanity did.

And all this thread did, from the incredibly insulting title on down, is grant a space for all the ugly to be sounded off from people that don't like people like Trayvon and what Trayvon represents. Basically and almost wholly.
