Just when you thought there was no hope for the younger generation you come across something that changes your mind.

Here in southern Florida there was a group of kids who got together and shaved their heads in support of one of their classmates who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Yes this group of kids included both males and females. Hell even some of the teachers got into it. They also raised a bit of money for a nonprofit group working on cures for childhood cancer.

Oh and the group of kids? They weren't just ehr friends. They numbered over one hundred students.

We all hope our children will have friends like these, and be a friend like these.

I read a story like that a few years ago. I think the whole class shaved their heads, and it was the week or month before prom.

Great story, cat.

You must meet other kids than I do though, if hope is a rare commodity. I must say that the legions of driven, creative, sensible and sharp kids I meet these days make me think one thing: This century is gonna rock.
