Just the Polls

The latest NBC News national poll shows Harris leading Trump 49%-44%, within the margin of error, while Trump holds advantages on the economy, inflation and the border.

Harris’ favorability has jumped 16 points since July, the largest increase for any politician in NBC News polling since then-President George W. Bush’s standing surged after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Respondents were asked to give their feelings about a variety of prominent public figures and institutions, and only three people had higher favorable ratings than unfavorable ratings:
Tim Walz: 40% positive, 33% negative

Taylor Swift: 33% positive, 27% negative

Kamala Harris: 48% positive, 45% negative

Vance: 32% positive, 45% negative
project 2025: 4% positive, 57% negative

CNN releases 2 presidential polls today, one for Nebraska's 2nd District and one for North Carolina.

In Nebraska's 2nd district, VP Kamala Harris has opened up a commanding ELEVEN point lead over Trump, well outside of the "margin of error" and is NE-2 basically a lock for Harris now. Small wonder Republicans this week worked hard to force through legislation to return Nebraska to "winner take all" this week. (They failed). Also of interest was the number of voters in NE-2 who said they were "voting AGAINST Trump" (38 percent!) rather than "voting FOR Harris"

In North Carolina, things are very interesting, an actual (not statistical, actual!) tie between Harris and Trump, with each having 48.0 percent of the vote. This is where the downfall of self-proclaimed "Black Nazi" Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson can pay some serious dividends, potentially dragging down the entire Republican ticket.

Trying to disenfranchise an entire Congressional district might have something to do with the opposition to Trump and resolve to back Harris.

Major Conservative Poll Cited by Media Secretly Worked With Trump Team

Leaked emails reveal the truth about Rasmussen Reports—and the way the Trump campaign is breaking election law.

from the above link:

On Thursday, American Muckrakers posted about emails it received detailing how the conservative-leaning Rasmussen Reports, which claims to be nonpartisan, shared polling results with Trump advisers and campaign officials like Dan Scavino, Susie Wiles, and John McLaughlin. The advisers, Rasmussen, and the nonprofit organizations that pay it for polling are violating tax and election laws, according to American Muckrakers.

One of the emails details close collaboration between the Trump campaign, Rasmussen, and the Heartland Institute, which calls itself a national free-market public policy think tank. However, it’s also a 501(c)3 nonprofit and is not allowed to engage in political activity benefiting a political candidate.

Earlier this year, the polling aggregator 538 dropped Rasmussen Reports from its averages and forecasts, saying that the firm couldn’t meet 538’s standards for objectivity and methodology.

Polling aggregator FiveThirtyEight has Trump 4.1 points ahead on average, he was 4.5 ahead at the beginning of September. Another polling aggregator, Nate Silver, has Trump 3.5 points ahead on average. Silver had Trump 4.7 points ahead at the beginning of September.

Florida, the third-most populous state in the U.S. carries 30 Electoral College votes, without it Trump would almost certainly have no path to victory in November.

The latest average of national polls, collated by FiveThirtyEight, shows Harris with a 2.5-point lead over Trump. On average, Harris has been marginally ahead of Trump in national polls for several weeks.

Which is still fucking mind blowing to me.

Here’s your choices: a 10-course meal with all the trimmings and a nice bottle of wine—OR—a shit sandwich served in a dirty ashtray with a dog bowl full of toilet water.

Almost HALF the country…hmm…that shit sandwich sounds tasty—I’ll take THAT! So Orange Fuhrer is that close behind.

Ugh.

Ugh.

its not complicated. A black man WAS president, a woman was about to be president and now a black woman could be president. The people who use woke as an insult are just fucking bigots and honestly we should make it socially impossible for them to operate in society but CHRIST. The Right are quick to claim 2016 was a choice between Hillary and Trump. I remember the primaries. They had so many people they had to split the debates essentially into the adults and the children. Its not like every Republican is sheer evil. I don't agree with most of there politics but Trump is about revenge pure as the driven snow. ITs also reestablishing dominance. You can even see it in other policies like all the abortion stuff.

Once you stop overcomplicating things their actions make perfect sense.

Interesting polls in Florida.
Every poll done by anyone EXCEPT the New York Times shows Trump ahead by 4 or 5 points.
Lately the New York Times polls shows Trump routing Harris by 13 points statewide in Florida.
Somebody must be wrong, right?

This is the first Presidential election since Roe vs. Wade was overturned. I'm really hoping that there is at least one upside to that. A major backlash against Dobbs. That's all I'm going to say right now.
