divised with head games. I think I am in it for the pieces. To see it unravel. The sad note it has crossed over into some personal affairs and that is not kewl. To be so filled with hatred as to try to hurt the person in their everyday life. This would be very entertaining if that was not happening to innocent people.

Displaying and insulting the pictures and personal info. of fellow posters is the worst I've seen but I suppose other social manipulations (back stabbing) are out there.

Here's my take on what I think this thread might be about...but obviously I don't speak for Ishmael...

* There is a suggestion that Unreg is one of several people attacking Ishmael's firewall

* There is a suggestion that Lavender erased her posts because her breast wound up somewhere it ought not to have. (Please note that lavender was posting last night. Sounds like exam time.)

* There is a suggestion that Ishmael can identify who is attacking his firewall with 24 hours notice and possibly the use of assets in Baltimore.

* There is also a suggestion that the person or persons attacking Ish's firewall are the same as the people who allegedly stole Lavender's breast.

* Personally, I think this all has to do with Ishmael's ferret, cheap furniture and politically correct threads...but compared to my pea brain, his is a Rubik's cube. I really have no idea what he's talking about for sure.

* But, I do know what's involved in "sniffing a box", common ruses, usual methods, limitations and something of IP network architecture...and in short, I don't think it's very easy to find someone who doesn't want to be found, and if someone really wants to break into your "house" (computer), they probably will.

* the spy talk is fun....it makes it sound way more insidious than a few freshmen in the computer lab at some university laughing their holes off at the old pervs on Lit.

I can't see it to be a spy mentality. I do like the later with thinking it is a bunch of computer geeks or college freshman trying to do all of this for a laugh. Look at some of the ages the said "whatever" have said they are. It is about college age if you think about it and if not the behavior is that of young immature people.

I also feel it is more than your theory that you suggest. Something deeper than what has been mentioned. I see it, it is so obvious. I hope all is well with you.

for I do not understand if a certain somebody can't get banned for posting other personal information why should Ishmael. I do not remember him saying anything about posting such information. Just the mention of him retrieving it. What stopped some others that posted it on here or within other websites from coming back. They still are here with no retribution. I really hope he solves this even if I am let out of the dark with the specifics. I would love to know it has unraveled.

I too wonder how it is that Ishmael proposes to get access to Lit's incoming IP traffic logs.

His Mojo must be very strong. Perhaps he will have Tom Cruise parachute in to Manu's server room and copy down the IP's really quickly, then signal the hovercraft....

There is a grain of truth in each item on your list with the exception of one.

This thread has nothing to do with any other thread that I've posted. It's quite stand alone in that respect.

IP's can be tough if multipule hops are used. This is true. The address translation at each router and proxie has to be resolved. Like the envelope within an envelope within an envelope. Well, you get the picture. It takes patience and time, but it can be done.

For those that think that Lit. has to be hacked to do this, not so. Remember, the mailman has the return address on the letter before it ever gets to your mailbox.
