Holy jeeze. I just watched this movie for the first time and this is such a great movie. Denzel is such a great actor in this movie. All in all this is a MUST see.

And I haven't cried like that in a very long time...

Is it about a sick kid and is father?

He didn't have medical insurence or something?

Yup and he holds the hopsital ER hostage.

That Good, eh? I knew about the movie.

Don't spoil it for me.

It is a very good movie, worth the price of a rental.

My favorite part was where he makes the ultimate decision for his child. It was also the scariest.

He had insurance.

His job screwed him over and changed his coverage without informing him.

Nope, haven't seen it. Would like to, but don't think I could handle it. My son will most likely need a kidney transplant, possibly before he reaches adulthood (he is 9 now).

It would just hit too close to home.

I loved this movie too. I didn't like the way it ended though, maybe they are just leaving it open for a part 2

How the hell can there be a part 2?

Who the hell knows, it's Hollywood. Look how many Rocky movies they made and all of them were pretty much the same.

I agree the ending was kind of messed up they should have gone into more detail.

I saw it and liked it. However it hit way to close to home for me, I almost had to walk out. My grandfather commited suicide with a gun when i was in the 7th grade...I could barely watch, the pain is still there and such... Tis a good movie though.

We missed this movie at the theatres

and when it came out on DVD we rented it.

I, too, agree that this movie hits WAAAAAAYYYY too close to home. I loved it. I cried, I lauged, I cried even more. The scariest part of the movie for me...was when I realized that I didnt know if I could be as brave as John Q. I want to think I could. I want to think I would. I just hope to God, I never am faced with the decision.

That's another reason why this movie is good...because it CAN happen. And it hits home with ALOT of people.

I saw this a few months ago, and really enjoyed it. A MUCH better movie then Training Day.
