Japanese speaker required

I am working on a story in which I’d like to use one Japanese character. On doing some basic research, there are 11 different ones for the word I had in mind. The devil’s in the details and I’d like to get this right. If somebody fluent in Japanese could spare me a couple of minutes, I would appreciate it. Please PM me, thanks.
