There is a new thread that a friend of mine has started. I think you should really try to check it out. It is called the Sheltering Tree - a place to run to.

He started it to be a refuge for those that are hurting or going through difficult times. And he is encouraging everyone to come there and have a place to talk about it and have someone to listen and support you. And not only that he is praying about whatever problem you might have each and every day! He is a wonderful guy. So check it out and spread the word.

I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday. Seattle decided to get hotter again this week. Yesterday was in the 90's and the rest of the week is supposed to "cool down" into the 80's. My place is just too hot to handle this!!!! I can hardly think.

I am being a good girl and working on getting my resumes out there, though.

I am ok. I just haven't felt like posting much lately. Too tired. I really hate my job, but am lucky that I have a job. Maybe one day I will get things in order and can do something to get out of this situation. Until then I just keep on keeping on and hope for the best. Take care and hope you have good luck in finding a job. You know even when I don't post I am thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers. This goes for ljmo and MM too!

Btw, kind of busy because school starts Monday morning!!!!!! My kid is officially in Middle School or Jr. High (that's what it was when we were in school. I don't know what made them change it to Middle School)

i truely hope things get better for you, it seems like when things are not going well they just pile up!! i will be thinking of you as well and hoping for the best for you!! yes school time is coming fast here the boys go back to high school on the 23 rd and my daughter goes back to college on labor day, summer is about gone, not sure where it went!! take care lots of hugs!!

I know what you mean! It does not seem like we have had any summer at all. Of course for the first month to 6 weeks me and Daniel both were going to specialists, etc.. But they really ought to go back to school after Labor Day like they did when we were in school and we learned everything just fine! probably better than they are now! He got signed up for Inline Hockey so I guess they will probably be starting up practice soon.

Toni , i understand all that as well, hopefully that will slow down for both of us soon, we have to go back Monday for a checkup after the surgery, shouldnt be a big deal and as far as i know the next visit will be back to ST Louis in the 13th of Sept. i am sure Daniel will have fun playing hockey, me youngest is really looking forward to basketball, he is a freshman and about 6 foot 2 inches, he thinks he will be the star player!!have a great day hugs!!

I have been keeping strange hours lately. I can't sleep until it cools off, so I end up going to bed around 2am and waking up much later than I should in the morning. I have gotten several resumes out so far this week so we will see what happens. (I put what my salary has been to cut out the cheap ones........I can't live on less). The rest of the time I plan on working on improving my skills with Excel and Word. The more you know, the better.

We went to church tonight. First time I have been able to do that in a very long time! Daniel stayed after, the youth group (it is so hard to believe he is now a part of that group!) was staying after to watch Secondhand Lions. We had already seen it, but he loves it. They are supposed to be done sometime between 10:15-10:45. My aunt said that she would bring him home since she had to go get my cousin's kids anyway. He was so excited. He got the letter that he needs to take the first day of school. The teacher he is to report to is supposed to be a really nice teacher, I am so glad. They said for them to only bring paper, pencil and paper the first day and that they would familiarize the students with buildings and routines. They are supposed to report to the cafeteria to get their class schedules.

It was because you said that movie was so good that I bought a used copy of it for $8.00. I love it and every time I watch it, can't help but cry.

I know that making the switch from grade school to middle school is not the easiest, but I know Daniel will be fine. It sounds like he has someone wonderful to help him through the transition.

wish Toni and i could share some of the cool weather with you, it was down in the 40's here last night, only going to be 80 today, which is very cool for this time of year fo MO. we did find a new big screen tv that i think will be ok, not sure i like the widescreen look but i guess its the thing we need to get, and we did go to Sonic for supper just the 2 of us, all the kids were gone, gee not sure what it will be like when they all actually leave home for good!! guess it will be ok, we will still be young enough to enjoy lots of things!!! hope everyone has a great day, as always hugs for the ladies!!!

I am so happy for you that the insurance thing finally got settled. When the kids are gone, you can enjoy so many things together and travel, etc. The kids will visit a lot. It will be great! When you are grandparents, you will never be the same.......hooked forever
