Most awesome cartoon, since Pinky and The Brain , Animaniacs and Hysteria .
Extremely funny and that Jade and Uncle are a riot.
I am so fortunate to be home every day with the kids after school. Of course, after 14 years of this, you really learn to like certain cartoons and after school television.
Did anyone see today's episode? It was of course about another Talisman. This one, the Snake. It made the person embracing in to be invisible if desired.
At the end as the Macy's Parade balloon is deflating, the balloon with Jackie, Jade and the Villianess Viper, land on the flame of the Statue Of Liberty.
The Talisman falls from Jackie's hand and lands between the toes of the Miss Liberty and the statue becomes invisible.
Quite eerie when YOU are sitting there seeing this in a cartoon and it hitting you in that same awkward way that seeing a skyline of New York City before the Towers went down.
It was like when they show those brief clips of the skyline in other shows such as Friends, Spin City and other shows that were filmed and based in NYC long before That day. Now when you see them, you have this undescribable feeling in the pit of your stomach. You feel once again the way you did when you watched that horror live on every station in the world.
Seeing that this afternoon, Lady Liberty vanished, and the cops' line when they caught up to Jackie, was even more disturbing.
"We just want to know what you did to our Statue of Liberty."
Whew.
Now the cartoon still rocks just as much as before today.
But was odd to see it and wonder if the kids see that too. My sons both came in my room and said, "Mom, did you see that? Sort of like the Trade Center too." Then walked back into their room.
